    Hi,

I'm on a low carb diet and have cut out alcohol completely for the last month. Tonight though, I am going out with some friends and would like to have a few drinks. What would be the best to drink (I know there's no alcohol great to drink)?

    Thanks a million guys

i would say shots of spirits or maybe gin and tonic vodka tonic etc just make sure not to get overly sweetened tonic water or go for diet tonic water

Could I mix the vodka with diet coke or diet 7 up or something? I really can't stand the taste of tonic!

    Ok thanks a million!

So, what is particularly wrong with vodka and diet seven up seeing as it has very few calories and no sugar is it's diet? Just wondering... I mean I know alcohol isn't good for your liver but once in a while it's ok, right?

Spirits & diet mixers, though they are not easy on the wallet. Also get a pint/glass of water every now on the side with it to keep yourself hydrated. It also keeps you in pace with any pint drinkers as you might lash down the small spirits too quick.

I made a very long post about booze here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=57902740&postcount=10
