So you can probably write in your own diary, yeah

The word "professional" bugs me. Only ever seems to be an excuse to jack up prices and legally say "no scumbags".

"Would suit a professional couple"- what, like two people who are together for work?

Why are they giving you a tent and a glass of wine?

Does everyone pitch their tent and sit inside and then get a glass of wine or do you arrive with your tent already pitched?

    Its all so confusing

I didn't realise speed dating was so filled with the poor that the had to split it per earnings.
Can't imagine walking into that.. Oooh I earn at least 40k Oooh I'm not going to talk to any of those 30k folk.

€40k is a bit arbitrary to be honest why not something a little fairer like €25k - €80k?

it is a night for people who date professionally and are quiet sucessful at it and would like to meet similar types of people.

Somehow I'd imagine they'll be less strict about the women's salaries than the men's.

Also - are they going to look for bank statements or what?

Go in wearing a suit, with a tracksuit in the briefcase. An hour into the game, change into the tracksuit. See how fast they'll throw you out.

Dont see how they could throw you out, you've bought your ticket and already gained entry..if you werent drunk or causing a problem they'd have to leave you alone.

God,i'd love to ring those tools and pretend to book a big gang of "professionals" for the night..i'd tell them we'll pay on the door and then obvioulsy not show up..Or show up outside to laugh.

I thought it was a joke until i opened the link and as it turns out it is a fcuking joke. That is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard in a long time. I can see it now " Good evening sir,how are you this evening? There is a 45 euro cover charge, and if i could just have a copy of your bank statement please"

    Fcuk off you wnaky cnuts!

The wimmins there aren't much better... The last time I had the misfortune of being in that establishment I was 'interviewed' as I later found out it's called.

What do you do for a living?

    Are you in management?

Have you plans to get into management?

Something tells me that speed dating thingy will follow a similar format...

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 16,397 ✭✭✭✭Degsy

Speed dating is a load of crap anyway,i've never heard of anybody meeting somebody as a result of it.

R&R had a thread on this a while back

How come one never hears people describing themselves as "single amateurs" ?

Jaysus, Cafe En Seine (or Willie Wankerbar), is that where all the hairdressers with WAG ambitions have washed up since Cocoon shut down?

40k? They must be really suffering in this recession if they've had to down grade their expectations from 'Mr. Rich' to 'Mr. Solvent'.....
