ACR or Scar-H?

So yeah, a bit ashamed but for the first time tonight I equipped my shiny new ACR after using the Scar exclusively for weeks. And I now have a new favourite weapon.

There's something about the ACR. The power isn't as good as the Scar, but the accuracy is unreal which leads to more headshots and such, which justifies the power in my opinion.

So, which one to you prefer, and what's your favourite gun in the entire game?

Scar for me, I use the ACR sometimes, love the sound of it. Apparently the fact it doesnt recoil much makes it a noobs weapon, because guns that shoot bullets without tilting upwards at a jaunty angle are for wusses, need accuracy? noob!

The ACR is a bit piddly without stopping power though, the SCAR drops people in one burst the majority of the time, I've flung half a clip into people with the ACR and they still killed me.

ACR has absolutely no recoil. At all. It's deadly accurate. The SCAR-H's recoil is irritating-- it's still a great weapon, but it just doesn't compare. It's also not as accurate, the only reason you seem to get more headshots is because the spray is a bit wider and a bit more random. I wouldn't judge a gun's accuracy on how many headshots you get.

SCAR-H for normal due to damage, stopping power isn't completely necessary. ACR for Hardcore since the low damage doesn't matter as much there.

Defiantly the ACR. I switched to the ACR 2-3 weeks ago from the SCAR-H and I've been killing a lot more people. I always use stopping power, scavenger and any other 3rd with it, usually get about 26+ kills in TDM.... They really need a geeky smiley on boards

Makes sense, I do find the SCAR is fairly accurate with 2-3 single round shots, gotten plenty of headshots doing that at really long distances.

I have pretty much always used the SCAR, from the moment I got my hands on it. But having been away from gaming for a while, and come back, I have started to use the ACR a lot, no recoil so you get great accuracy, but will always go back to the SCAR for pure power when my ratio is dipping.

I loved the ACR in 0 prestige but I haven't used it since. You're just too dependant on stopping power, without it ya may as well be throwing rocks at the enemy.

The Scar is, imao, the best all rounder. Not as accurate as the ACR/M4, not as powerful as the tar, not as much fun as the F2000, not as deadly at range as the burst weapons but overall it holds its own in all categories. You need Scavenger but I usually run this anyway. It can be outgunned up close but it is still pretty good.

SCAR with silencer and stopping power, your prey is dead before they know it, never had a want as regards its accuracy. Do love the sound of the ACR though.

i use to use the scar and acr alot but recently have tried the tar with silencer and stopping power and i find it hard to beat im winning more head to heads

Recently switched to the ACR and love it, great gun.

I find myself using more and more as my 1st choice assault rifle, not taking anythng from the SCAR but the clip is waaaaay to short, but to counter this ive nearly completed the extended mags challenge for the SCAR.

Like the M4 in COD4. The ACR is my gulity pleasure/go to gun if I'm playing poorly.

Both are a bit nooby if you will, I'm the 1st to admit that.

SCAR is prefered for normal mode but curse its low mag size so scavanger is a must.

ACR is good all round and lethal in hardcare with a silencer but i feel like such a noob using it in normal modes...especially with a noob tube attached

Always used the ACR silenced before I prestiged. Gonna use it again when I unlock it.
Couldnt give two ****s if its a noob gun either as it got me plenty of kills thus having fun

Same here ill use whatever gun i feel like or prefer and if people keep calling you a noob then you must be doing something right

Best description I've heard of the ACR; The full auto sniper rifle. Not saying it's a bad thing though, I think the gun is great.

Gotta agree with Krudler and AnneFrank. Think the Tar is the best assault rifle overall, particularly if you throw a Silencer on it. The AK is comparable, but since you never get to actually play with it I've excluded that. The M4 is a great gun too, and as good as the ACR. Same level of accuracy and damage, but you get it from the get-go.

you dont have alot of power with it but you do have a good fire rate and good accuracy. if i can fire ten rounds and land all ten on my enemy and he fires ten but hits me with 3 i think ill live and he'll be dead

Considering it only takes 2-3 bullets to kill in MW2, I'm not sure if I agree with your logic....

i know that...what im getting at is that the acr will hit 3 times in a row and the scar might miss one and that could be the difference.

scar all the way for me just knock on extended mags i have no bother shooting at range just dont go mad on the trigger pump it so its single fire or burst

ACR FTW. Its my first choice assault rifle ahead of the TAR-21, although I usually use the AUG HBAR.

Most of the camos look ridiculous, desert, woodland, digital and urban are fine but I hate red tiger and fall. never use them.

Always used the Scar-H myself... at least until I levelled up a good bit and got something better

I don't usually care about them. But I actually think that the Artic camo on the Mp5k looks sweet. I don't use the gun that often, but when I do I normally choose that one.
