    just wondering if any menopausal ladies have tried that ladycare magnet thingy and is it any good.i am going demented with hot flushes and night sweats and am curious about the ladycare thing!

    I feel your pain :( I'm getting the hormone test soon.

    My sister is already in the middle of it all and tried one of the bracelets. She said it was absolutely useless. It's not really based on any sort of medical fact or anything so I think it falls in with Crystals, and Angels, and all that other stuff. You have to believe it works to get the placebo effect!

    There's probably more theory to support things like black cohosh or one of those other herbal 'cures'. Also, my sister says the hot flushes are a lot worse when she drinks alcohol :rolleyes:

    Yeah, magnets and ionic copper and stuff is the same as crystals and prayers.

    If it's working at all it's due to your belief in it. If you're questioning it... it probably won't work for you. There is no scientific backing behind it (not to be confused with the pseudo-science babble that is often on the accompanying leaflets)

    My mother tried these and found them to be pretty hopeless. She was driven nuts with night time sweat too. So sorry you're suffering, it's horrid.:(
