Well, I watched S2 in the space of a week, and it was miles ahead of S1 imo. I'm completely hooked now, but I still don't like Sookie - came into this thread to see if anyone mentioned her as a favourite character.

Lafayette is a great character, and one of my favourites. Sam looses the jealousy that annoyed me about him in the first season and I like him quite a bit too.

As for vamps... Eric is great, Godric was a great character too. Pam... oh lord yes!!! And the Queen, Sophie-Anne... I didn't even recognise her initially (Evan Rachel Wood).

As far as people go, Lafayette would definitely be someone I could hang around and not get bored of.

Eric was my favourite vampire but he has gotten really indecisive this season - not his usual self

Franklin, Pam and Jessica as well as Sophie-Ann are by far the best vampires.

Franklin because he is insane.
Pam because she has some brilliant lines and has been decisive where Eric has not this season. Definitely a vamp you'd want on your team. :cool:
Jessica because she was an absolute brat at the start, making Bill's life hell:P, and now still figuring out the vampire stuff so we get taken along for the ride.
Sophie-Ann : she is just totally removed from the real world. How did she get to become queen thinking you could make money out of scratch cards?!

For me it's Lafayette. His whole lifestyle is just a constant two fingers up to all the red neck trailer trash of the deep south, Love it!!

I'm lovin that english vamp at the moment. He is just pure mental. I nerarly feel sorry for Tara. I hope he's around for a while.

Overall I think most of the characters are very good.

I love Maryann - she's badass! Really like Pam too, though she's underused. Jason, Eric, Lafayette and Jessica all get some really great lines too.

Have also always had a soft spot for Arlene.

When I read all the books I adored Sookie, she's my kinda girl! In the series not so much, don't know if it's the actress or her lines.

Also loved Eric in the books... and still do from the show!

I also love Pam and her dry one-liners, Lafayette, and I really, really like Hoyt and Jessica as a couple.

I think Jason is brilliant also, very very funny, Ryan Kwanten is a great comic actor, such a pity though that his storyline in season 3 was so dire.

I think, despite being the main protagonists, Sookie and Bill are increasingly the weakest characters in True Blood. Bill, God love him, is so wooden he could be sharpened as a stake and Sookie is just plain irritating, I think

Jessica cos she's sexy as flip. My favourite was Godrik and was truly devastated that he had such a short stint in series 2. The final scene between him and Eric was deeply moving.

I loved Pam's recent line ""I don't know what it is about me that makes people think I want to hear their problems. Maybe I smile too much. Maybe I wear too much pink"
