I had no trouble with mine with 100kg of cast iron weights on it. I have the 1 inch (5kg) bar with spin lock collars.

Is it hollow? if so I think it might be only rated to 60kg. I have a solid one and have had over 140kg on it with no trouble. I also have a hollow ezcurl bar that began to bend at that, but I have had 110kg on it with no real trouble.

And yes standard cast iron plates will go on it.

yeah, who you see vinyl weights it's going to be for the 1" bars. To get a lot of weight onto bars you'll need an olympic 2" barbell with olympic plates
