    Hi all,

I have been lurking around here for some time trying to educate myself on different diets and ways to lose weight. I am intrigued by the different ideas and ways of doing this (i.e Weight watchers, Low Card etc) and am finding myself somewhat confused by the information. With the diet you are on at the moment, what would be your ideal meal plan for a day? Taking into account calories, protein, carbs etc. Might be good to get ideas from everyone on what they eat and more importantly, does it work?

My ideal diet for a day would be : ( i havent got a "diet" as such, just try and eat healthy!)

    Breakfast - Eggs and Toast
    Porridge, milk and Xylitol

Lunch - Chicken with salad and maybe some Ryvita
    Low fat yogurt

Dinner - Thai curry with loads of veg and some brown rice (not much!)
    Strawberrys for dessert!

if I could stick to that every day I would be proud!

Hmm, my 'ideal' day would be (money no object):

Breakfast: Pastured eggs poached with homemade hollandaise and wilted spinach and half an avocado and beef marrow.

Lunch: Seafood platter with oysters, langoustines, lobster, smoked mackerel, sea-snails (really nice I swear!) and salad with homemade ranch dressing made with macadamia oil.

Dinner: Beef Bourguignon made according to Julia Child's recipe made with fresh beef stock, striploin streak and added chopped calf's heart. I made this once, it takes about 12 hours to prepare everything properly (excluding the stock - that takes 24 hours on it's own!) and is best left for a day after cooking to let the flavours mature. But it is so worth the effort!

The menu is a little rich, not sure I could even eat that much in a day but if I managed even one of the meals I'd be a happy woman! Damn it, now I'm hungry.
