Heya i was wondering if anyone could tell me, what is better:The gym or classes?
I am living down in Galway for the summer so the gym i go to is the Kingfisher Club. For the past few weeks or so my workout schedule has been like this:
    Monday-Rest
Tuesday-Step Aerobics followed by body pump and tone
    Wednesday-Cardio Kickboxing
    Thursday-Zumba
    Friday-Rest
Sat-(My own gym in Dublin)An hour on a crosstrainer and body pump
Sun-An hour on an exercise bike.

I am not getting good results at all, in fact i find the classes to not be a challenge no matter how much effort i put into them.Should i ditch the classes apart from body pump and go straight for the gym?I want to just tone up and get fitter =)

Diet info, 1,400 cals on gym days, 1,200 on rest.I am a very sedentary person apart from the gym lol.Should i decrease my cals?

just going to reply to this cos i know it's frustrating to get no replies!

First off, you say you're eating 1400 kcals on gym days, 1200 on non gym days. What's your age, weight, height and sex?
What is your diet like? Not in numbers but give a breakdown of your intake of food from when you wake up to when you get to bed. You could very well be going over your calorie needs without realising it.

Secondly, you need to explain what your goals are, weight loss, muscle gain?

I'm going to assume you're looking for weight loss (just going by your classes' names)

Most would recommend lifting, and lifting heavy.
Do cardio on non weights days, look up HIIT.
Only ditch classes if you think you will be able to push yourself.
    You seem to be in the gym most days, so you should have no problem with a programme like;

    mon - weights
    tue - cardio
    wed - weights
    thurs - cardio
    fri - weights
    sat - cardio
    sun - rest

For a proper programme in weight lifting, look up any number of programmes online.
Base a programme yourself around compound lifts, ie. bench, squat, deadlift, rows and also include body weight training such as pressups, dips, pullups.
