My son is lactose intolerant and he is now 18months and it would be nice to start giving him some treats. There is a poor selection of stuff available but I bake a lot and would like to try him with some biscuits and stuff like that. Problem is I can't find a lactose free butter suitable for baking. Any help would be mush appreciated.

Dont know about butter but you can get dairy free marg. Pure is one brand and you can get this in the supermarket or the health food shop. I have used this to make cookies and it was fine. Also M+S do a dairy free spread that you can also use for cooking.

Butter should be lactose free, as the lactose is in the milk part, not the butter. If the carb count is zero, then it should be fine.
