    Hi all

I'm finding it really hard to eat enough calories and protein every day. I am eating nuts but I'm starting to get a little sick of them at this stage. I think I'm doing ok with my diary but I need a little help - any suggestions?

    Here's my diet so far:

    Breakfast
    Boiled egg
    Crispbread
    Butter

    Lunch
Salad with prawns/chicken with olive oil dressing
    Handful of nuts
    Egg

    Dinner
Chicken/salmon/steak with green leafy veg (broccoli or asparagus eg)
    Butter/olive oil based sauces

    Snacks
    NUTS!
    85% chocolate

    Help!

    Breakfast
    Boiled egg
    Crispbread
    Butter
Bump it up to 2 or 3 eggs? Ditch the crispbread?
    Lunch
Salad with prawns/chicken with olive oil dressing
    Handful of nuts
    Egg
How much prawns/chicken are we talking about here? A handful of meat/fish would be a good goal.

Thanks C. I could definitely bump the egg up but I also have one just before lunch so really it's like I already have 2 eggs in the morning..

I eat a med sized portion of meat with my salad - 150g of prawns/chicken/salmon. Should I increase?

I say this with huge caveat but if you want calorie density then you could go for the epic deliciousness of coconut milk. Now its somewhere between 600-800 kcal for a 400ml can but you can do all kinds of gorgeous things with coconut milk and a some blended berries! Just get the high fat no added sugar variety!

    Hi Kimia
As you know I'm low carbing also, I'm hitting between 1300 and 1400 cals, 110g protein, 84g fat and 50g or less carbs.
A typical day for me now is:

    Breakfast
    2 eggs scrambled
    1 grilled rasher

    Lunch
low carb turkey casserole/ chicken + stuffing quiche (from that site I told you about - I have my biggest meal at lunch these are 500 - 600 cals)

    Dinner
oven baked cod fillet/haddock plus some cheese and maybe hard boiled egg /steak/chicken stuffed with cream cheese wrapped in ham/rasher

    Snacks
natural yoghurt/almonds/cottage cheese strawberry mousse/dark choc

I'm finding it hard to stay below 1400 but saying that the way I'm eating now I never get to be starving. I'm nearly hitting my targets bang on.
    Hope that helps!

Thanks Miss M and everyone else! I love coconut milk so will definitely start making more currys in the evening. I haven't made anything from that site yet but I'm going to look into the quiche, I love the way she has all the photos up.

Also I remember now Eileen saying before that it's handy to have some chicken drumsticks in the fridge to snack on - yum!
