I am not sure if this is the place to post this but here goes. I have a stationary exercise bike and the straps on the pedals have split (they are made of some kind of rubber). Any ideas how to repair or better replace? Many thanks in advance.

    Hi There

If you contacted the company who manufacture the bicycle (possibly through their web site) then you could ask if you can purchase replacement straps.

Usually this type of equipment comes with a booklet which lists the part numbers of all the replacement parts and a contact/number to contact for replacements.

You could also check to see if a normal pedal, bought in a bike shop would fit on the crank. If so then you could just buy a set of pedals and toe clips/straps and replace the whole pedal. Or if you cycle and have cycling shoes with quick release plates, then you could buy matching pedals.

    Just some ideas.

    Best Regards,
