Damnit! Put a question mark in the title! Thought they had been anounced when I saw this.

If its like last year the first months fixtures will be announced in august and then generally a month before for the rest of the season. Bit of a shambles really

I'm in France from January to May/June so I'm hoping Munster vs Leinster at Thomond next season is in 2010 rather than 2011.

the ML fixtures are always later in the summer as (i think) cardiff have a ground share so the ML have to wait until the football fixtures are out first and then work around that.

Well the football fixtures have been announced for well over two weeks now so time for the magners league to sort themselves out and get the fixtures going. the heineken cup has been arranged already so no excuses! I plan to be in edinburgh in october and wouldnt mind going to a game if i pick the right weekend

With the addition of two new teams, don't be surprised if it takes a little while longer before the fixtures are announced.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,193 ✭✭✭[Jackass]

It really wouldn't surprise me if Celtic Rugby took a little bit longer to figure that one out..

    3/4/5 September 2010:
    Exeter v Gloucester
    Leeds v Bath
    Northampton v Leicester
    Sale v Newcastle

Nice gentle start for Leeds then....

With some clubs doing ground shares with football clubs they generally have to wait for the full football league fixtures to be annouced before they can start planning the magners league fixtures hence one of the reasons why there are delays

Anyone have any idea when these fixtures are realesed?

There was another thread like this with the exact same title nearly, do a search next time.
Or atleast add a question mark to the title.

The relevant bit is down near the bottom of the article.
Won't have to wait too much longer now I'd imagine even though a draft of Edinburgh's fixtures came out a while ago, knowing the Magners League it wouldn't surprise me if the info. emerged in dribs and drabs.

Related topic. What is the story about Leinster playing some games this season in Lansdowne Rd ? How many games, is it Magners, HC, or only if they got home draws in the knockout stages of either ? Any one know what is planned ?

I got an email off them this morning stating that they are planning on playing two games there. No indication of what games they are going to move or even what competition.

In fairness they can't really move a Mangers game when they haven't had their home games scheduled yet.

My guess the Munster game may be moved there and one HC game.

If I were a betting man I would put money on the Munster and Clermont matches being on in Lansdowne Road with an outside chance of the Sarries match depending on how the Heineken group is going.

Interesting opener for Connacht V Dragons.

Munster should have their 1st win no problem, at home to Arioni probably with BP.

Leinster away to Glasgow will be difficult especially if Parks has his kicking boots on.

Ulster v Ospreys should (hopefully) be a cracker.

Agree except Parks has moved to Cardiff so that may change things slightly.

I can't explain why, but I'm actually quite a bit more excited about this domestic season compared to others. Before I always thought it would be 'nice' if we (Leinster) could win the Magners but if I'm being honest, I wasn't that pushed so long as the Heineken Cup was going well. Now, perhaps because Ospreys pipped us to the championship last year, I really want Leinster to get the title back!!! The bread and butter is what it's all about!

I was fairly pissed off that Leinster capitulated so pathetically towards the end of the ML and I'll be expecting something a damn sight better this time round.

    :(

Looks like I'll be missing Munster vs Leinster at Thomond this year, must make it up to the RDS this time. ;)

Aironi will be intriguing, on paper they have a really strong and experienced pack.

I'm fairly seriously considering heading over to Treviso for Leinster's game on the 17-19th September. My birthday that weekend too.

Munster's first 'window' is tough IMO, 3 wins from 5 would be a good enough start with those fixtures.

Three irish teams visiting Firhill in September when I have loads on in work :( Will definitely make the Leinster game, will have to wait and see with the others

As newbies to the ML (Season ticket holders for the Aironi) and having checked the fixtures list, a lot of games so far look to be evening matches. Is that normal for the ML? If so you'll need your thermals for the games if any of you visit Treviso or the Aironi, and it will be seriously inconvenient for visitors to Viadana which has no public transport, taxi service or hotels.
    Otherwise Welcome!

Pretty much all the games are evening matches, except some of the Sunday games.
