For the next two months i will be working around 100 hours a week and will need to get the diet sorted. any tips on how to maintain the energy levels would be appreciated. will be starting the day with a half hour jog and a couple of bowls of porridge and bananas. mashed potatoes will be a big part of the dinner diet.

    Physical or mental work?

It's mostly a matter of getting the right amount of food. Concentrate on fresh whole foods, with plenty of protein, fats, veg and fruit.

For mental work, definitely concentrate on the protein and fats. The thing about fish being brain food is not a joke.

If you were doing a lot of physical work, then you could afford a lot of clean carbs like brown rice, but you don't need them for mental.

Picked strawberries in my garden this morning. Yum yum.
