    Hi,

I'm not much of a fitness fanatic and only go running on occasion. I would like to know if running aprox. 20km a week should be of concern in relation to my knee cartilage or joints. I'm 28 yrs old and do not want to be setting myself for any long term discomfort/damage in my later years.
I played alot of football in my late teens/early 20's and suffered a few injuries to my legs and hip, noting permanent though.

Has anyone had any injuries resulting from running the same distance?

    Thanks

    20km a week isn't a particularly long distance.
Not an issue assuming you have no pre-existing knee/joint problems.
