Up until three weeks ago I was a filthy chain smoker but i've gotten on top of things and want to improve.

    I'm 20, About 5'11 and 12 stone.

    I've basically done no exercise..ever.

What should i start with? how can I rectify my health?

Reading the fitness sticky is a good place to start and then post any questions you have.

While you are not over weight, IMHO it' wouldn't do any harm to pay a quick visit to your GP for a check up before imbarking on an exercise program just as a precaution. Especially as you say you have never exercised and were a (heavy) smoker.

    Just my 2 cents.

I completely agree with the above poster.

imo, a little bit of gentle jogging or some walking would be a good start to get the ball rolling.
But see what your gp says first ;)

    What should i start with?

Walking, I still walk loads. Going a gym would be a plus.
how can I rectify my health?

Increase the greens/fruit in your diet and take some vit-C for recovery.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, fever, surgery, and smoking greatly increase the body's requirements for vitamin C.
