Hopefully Germany can finish the job this time.

Am I missing something? I've read the article twice (and done a ctrl+f), and the only mention of Berlin is in the title. What does Germany have to do with it?

I think it's jolly sporting of the Poles to allow the Germans to choose who runs the country. In fact I believe that it is a model we should all follow - I would wholeheartedly welcome the chnace to choose the Prime Minister of the UK.

I would then move to Australia before the Russians re-elect the Brian Cowen.

    Nothing.

Just a "slight" mix-up of European capitals, historically somewhat sensitive, but what the heck.

Sloppy (very sloppy) journalism, this time not from the Indo, for a change :D

A look at the world financial situation has me thinking that it's 1937 all over again: just as there appear to be some "green shoots of recovery", the "double dip" kicks in, and most of the gains are wiped out. It's not a perfect match, however, since there was a manufacturing base in the USA to provide employment - something you can't say about Ireland in 2010. The war was good for the USA, but then the war wasn't fought in the USA, was it?

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Yes it appears to be and so I'm off to the bookies to back Portobello in The July Cup.

    Woo hooo.

At least the Germans don't have to invade Greece this time round, not since they bought it in a car-boot sale in Athens.

If they keep religion out of it, and leave Russia alone, the rest of Europe will be a pushover.
