Seeking a 1.5 hp Outboard engine

    Hey all,
    I hope someone here can help me out with finding a second hand 1.5 hp outboard engine. I have searched nearly every website but they all seem to start at 2.5 hp.

    I got myself a new Challenger 3 by Intex and I'm looking to fit it with the recommended engine size they suggest which is...

    Max. Motor Power kW (HP) - 1.1 (1.5)
    Max. Motor Weight Kg (Lbs) - 8.2 (18)

    I searched Donedeal.ie buyandsell.ie and Adverts.ie along as google searches for Irish stores but as I said they all start at 2.5 HP.

    Any help on where to look would be great, or if you yourself are selling one or know someone who is.

    I'm in Kildare, so somewhere close enough would be fantastic also.

    I'm not being funny but I would not put an engine anywhere near that. The manufacturer may say you can put an outboard on it - I wouldn't. If you want a dingy that carries an outboard and be safe on the water then buy something a bit sturdier.

    That challenger 3 is something that would be grand to paddle about in by the lake or seaside but to put an engine on it would in my opinion be dangerous.

    If anyone is selling or knows someone selling a 2.5 hp outboard short shaft second hand at a good price I'd be interested.

    New bigger boat so 2.5 to 3.0 hp will work fine.. 2.5 is what I'm looking for though :)

    Putting an engine on it would be dangerous, really don't/
