    I've been hearing about this for years.

    Makes a lot of damned sense, tbph.
    The US government want to stop TRUTH from leaking out to the public. They’re afraid of Wikileaks, Infowars, Prisonplanet, Boards.ie etc, etc.
    Ah Pfft.

    Im sure theyre more concerned that hackers/computer technicians have demonstratively been able to access US Power Stations over IP and cause real world damage. In the experiment, a hacker took a turbine's regulator sensor offline and it in turn caused the turbine to burn itself out.

    Why would he be allowed have a kill switch for the entire internet? Would it not make sense if he had control over access in America?

    I don't wanna be in the middle of jerking of to watching some porn documentary online and have it shut off because Obama got a bit edgy.

    Imagine if in wartime Britain Churchill decided the existing blackout measures were inadequate to protect against air-raids and ordered the cutting off of electricity supplies to entire cities ?
