It is Match 19 btw :)

It's not exactly a massive centerpiece match, I'd say it'll either be 0-0, or Nigria might scrape one and win 1-0

Can't see Greece scoring in this match. They looked completely useless against South Korea going forward. Fully expecting a Nigeria win. Don't think there'll be many goals but I'd gladly like to be proven wrong.

Greece are slow, so I can see this being a good game for Obafemi Martins.

EDIT: Shocked that Martins isn't starting. Team changed for the positive when he came on against Argentina and his pace would suit this game.

Come on Greece (don't like how they play I just want the South Koreans through!)

How many Greek gods and mythology references will he make to describe simple passes or goals?

What was the one he had during a Bernard Dunne fight? Something like

"That's it, deliver the milk and go to the next house."

Bad when you can't even fill up the stadium for an African team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,103 ✭✭✭mathie

    Irish Times commentary.
    Face meet palm....
The Greeks lost their opening game to Korea Republic and Nigeria suffered a defeat against Nigeria. Both teams should now focus on the attack although this is traditionally a problem for the Greeks in particular.

Could cost Nigeria very dearly. Another African team imploding?

Jimmy is the only thing saving this game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

This nigerian chap is a knob.

    Talk about milking the sending-off.

He must have taken a good 90seconds to walk off the pitch!

The ref even telling him to get on with it and he still strolls.

    Amazing.

Is Jimmy McGee really criticising the decision? Kaita kicked out and it doesnt matter if it caused an injury or not, this isnt the 60s anymore Jimmy!

On first instance I saw nothing wrong but the replay shows him kicking out. You can't do that anymore. Jimmy just doesn't seem to realise that.
