So I've lost a stone and a half over the last year (not much I know) and I am wondering what way I should go.

Basically I am strong, I am naturally big however I do want that as excuse for carrying extra weight. My question is it a bad idea to lose my fat first and then see what my muscle mass is. Generally people think I am 16 Stone but I am currently 19.6 Stone and going down. I can lift a person whos 18 stone but thats kinda my limit. Shoulder to shoulder i am 45cm or 18 Inchs on my back.

Second question is how hard is to get a low body fat & lean body. I know I will probally need to eat more than I eat now for that but basically the only way I have success losing weight is basically not eat for 2 weeks which normally drops me a half a stone, eat for a while then repeat.

I have done gym 5 days a week and diet and I gained weight. Thanks in advance for any and all advoice guys

Atm Im eating one to two meals a day as Im trying to push down to 19 stone.

I currently walk 6 miles a day, thats all I do atm as I just wanta lose the fat and keep going down on the scales.
    Yesturday,
    3 Slices of Brown bread

    Today
    Pepper Stirfry (tablespoon of oil)

Will be like this with lots of water for a 2 weeks.

Just a side note, I have a few months of a food diary done but that was back in march I think. I havnt been gaining weight since last year in the sense that I go to 19.3 back to 19.6 so forth. Diet is fairly ok as I dont have much diary income, dont eat sweets. The worst thing In my diet is chippers which I never buy but parents buy for me. Other worst thing is Pizza's thou thats normally once a month. My diet is bad enough for me not to be losing weight thou unless I starve myself.

It seems to me you're not eating enough and eating inconsistantly. I'd seriously try a weight training routine and some interval training.

Would you consider rejoining a gym?

Your diet sounds like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjnuBTPOaKY

Here, why are you even asking for this? You've previously said so yourself(this isn't your first time on this forum) that diet is an extremely important aspect of weight loss so use a bit of sense and sort yours out. There's a lot of very useful information that people have bothered themselves to put up on the forum give it a read.

lol thats amazing link :P, yea diet has always been my issue, Im thinking bread is probally the one thing I need to kill off right now.

I dont eat like that dude on the treat day, if I eat a pizza that would be the only thing I would in the day because its something like 1500 Calories and massive ammounts of fat.

Yea I know diet is important just a but lost atm with the whole thing, my diet when to **** over the last few months due to stress but not as bad as it once was. Dont get me wrong, I dont eat frys or most the most **** people eat but I did have thing like Noodles which are 600 Calories a pack, used to eat two packs per serving but once I found that out I dropped them out of my diet. I eat a lot of fish naturally so i am grand in the fats area i think, salmon & macral.

I suppose i'm just kinda annoyed that I know more about building a house than how to run my body properly, if you can recommend any reading that would be read, im going to have a look at the stickies again been a good while since I have.

Im all kinds of poor right now, i can afford a gym at the start of the next college year. So all I have is the local park and a crappy yorktown weights set you can get in agros.

You don't have to starve yourself to lose weight, just have a decent enough diet and cut out all the crap. Ive been on boards going on about how great Weight watchers is because it worked a treat for me.

    Breakfast: Porridge
Lunch: Wholemeal Bread, Ham, Big Salad and homemade soup
Dinner: Stir Frys are king, plenty of veg and either chicken or beef
Snacks: plenty of fruit and plenty of water

Workout wise, when I was 19 stone I went for a 2 mile brisk walk (15 minute a mile) every day, once I got slimmer I hit the gym and now do a mixture of weights and cardio 5-6 times a week.

You'll get loads of good advice here and your motivation to sticking to it will be feeling better about yourself and having people complement you, thats my motivation anyways!

    Best of luck with it

    that is mental.

3 hours in the gym per day?

you need to start working out properly including weights and cardio.
at your weight, 3500 calories probably wouldnt be far off your maintenance calories.

Shoot for 3350 calories per day with 45 mins to 80 mins in the gym 3-5 days per week and you will see results.

I went from 18 stone 8lbs to 16 stone 6lbs in 8 weeks (after a 6 month bulking period) by completely cleaning up my diet, limiting carbs, doing 45 mins of weights 4 times a week and walking 3 miles every day.

It can be done by making small changes and by sticking with them.

cutting out the bread, esp white bread, is a very good idea.

Jeez how are you not miserable on that. Madness.

I eat between 3-3500 calories and im 67kg at 5ft11. I lost 5and a half stone and maintain just grand with this amount of calories.

Eat more. Eat right. Train hard (smart). Read the stickies.

Well I am 6.3, the 3 hours were basically 45 Minutes Cardio (Bike, rowing, run/walk) That took a hour basically between getting to the machines,

Then my Weight rotune if I can remember it was 1 hours long but took so long to get onto machines because of posers and other issues. When I did the weights I took my time because I liked the burn :P

Then last hour was squats & abs, actually I think they were luges or something. Basically had a ball against my back and I would basically lower my ass to the ground and push my arms out, then did that with one leg forward and one back on each leg. I did 3 different abs exercises.

After the work out I would hit the pool for a few lenghts just to bring my pulse down and relax my muscles.

Anyhow with all that work I lost 3 pounds so I stopped going after 2 months. The other issue been the 3 hours traveling

    .

Your diet sounds Horrific. My eyes are out on stalks reading your posts. You literally starve yourself for 2 weeks at a time every now and again and although you haven't had any success with this (only 1.5 stone in a year) you continue to do so? Madness.

What I would suggest (I'm not an expert, but it's working for me) is look into low carbing. Basically all that means is cutting out the crappy processed sugary foods such as bread, noodles, white pasta, any sugars (like chocolate, crisps, junk food etc) and throw yourself into eating leafy green veg, salads, eggs, meat, seafood, nuts, cheese etc.

You will definitely lose weight if you

    a) Check out how many calories you need to eat to maintain the weight you are now
    b) Minus approx 500 calories from that figure
    c) EAT what I've outlined above, and never ever go under 1200 calories, ever.
    d) Exercise at least 3 times a week, even just get the heart rate going - you don't need to do 3 hours a day.

Give it 2 weeks, that's all. If it doesn't work, no matter. You have really nothing to lose at this stage. Best of luck.
