Cut out all processed foods, especially any form of sugar, and anything with wheat.

Eat lots of fresh whole foods, including tons of leafy green veg at every meal.

Cut out alcohol, coffee, fizzy and sugary drinks. Drink lots of water, but things like green tea are fine.

Get lots of exercise, turn off the television, go to bed early.

That should do it. Your liver is an exceptionally good detoxer, all you have to do is give it a bit of space to do the job. You don't need to follow any strange programmes or buy any special supplements.

Is 'shredded wheat' cereal ok though...?

Is '100% whole grain wheat' not healthy ...I know porridge would be alot better but is their anything wrong with the later?

Shredded wheat is better than bread, but wheat is one of the most common intolerances in Ireland. If you want to detox, I'd leave it out. A huge number of people find that just cutting out wheat reduces energy fluctations, bloating, sluggish bowels, bad temper, fatigue, etc. Which is what people usually want from a detox.

ok cool, I agree with you by the way with the processed stuff!

I think white sugar and white flour are the devils in the disguise!

    almost,
sugar and flour are the devil,
raw sugar and wholewheat flour are the devil in digguise,

Wholewheat is better that white flour, but its still not great for your body. ditto for sugar from an apple vrs a spoon of suicra. Little difference in it really.

Thanks that's what I was looking for, some of the programmes on the web seem a bit complicated/over the top.

Regarding wheat is their any type of bread at all that can be included?

If you are detoxing, then I'd leave out all bread, and cut out as many other grains as possible. You can bring it back when you are happy that you're no longer toxic.

If you must eat bread, then I'd try to make some at home with rye or oats, but it will be very dense and chewy compared to ordinary bread. Even the rye bread you buy in a bakers is mostly wheat flour.

Really, you are better off without it for a while, find a different way of eating that doesn't depend so much on bread.
