    Item number: 924/0201

With this pack and a broadband connection you can watch TV from Sky on your Xbox 360, no dish, Sky Box or annual contract required.

Includes one month Sky Player TV subscription that includes live Sky Sports subscription, 3 months of Xbox Live Gold Subscription and an Xbox universal media remote.

    Link to Argos

Was €44.80 so less than half price

There are cheaper ways of getting Xbox Live I know but thought it was good value with the remote included.

    Nice one.

Just reserved one to pick up at lunch. :)

You don't have to redeem your voucher until 30 Sept so I might keep myself a treat for the start of the Premiership!

Great thanks. I presume the fact that they charge 34 euro a month after means you need to give them the bank details and sign a direct debit form etc yeah?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 601 ✭✭✭mgsrocks

Yes, but once you have entered the code you can cancel the subscription straight away.

Gamestop give a few euro if you trade in the remote. No use for it if you already have one.

THis has been at £14.99 for ages on Amazon. Sitll a good deal at €14.99 though.

You need to register credit card details to use it.

Cancelling the subscription is easy as well. You can do it online via your Skyplayer account and it can be done in advance so you can do it the same day you sign up.

Quality and sound is not as good as SD but certainly good enough to ensure your enjoyment of the footy.

Can this be redeemed on top of an existing gold subscription?

    It's £10 in the north!

Yes, it will just add another 3 months to your current sub.

Just to let everyone know, you don't need an xbox to use the sky sub, once the code is used you can watch Sky Sports on your computer. It's by far the cheapest way to watch premier league football.

I'd say that was a good price for the pack, Personally i'd have no interest in the remote or stand, but a play and charge kit i think is overpriced at €20 for standard. I rember seeing two OVI play and charge kits in a box in xtra vision for €10, so a fiver each was a great price.

By the same measure, could i buy 3 of these, redeem them before the 30th of sep and be covered for nearly the whole season with a sky sports subscription via xbox?

The xbox live subs can be used all at once, just keep entering the code.

The Sky Sub can only be entered once a month. Sign up on the website and use the sub. Cancel the subscription straight away and do the same thing next month. I think the codes are valid until Sept 2011 and not 2010.

1 month Sky Player subscription voucher must be redeemed on or before 30 September 2010

From the site linked in OP.

I couldn't see the option to cancel it online, and had heard you have to call up to do so before I bought it, so I gave them a call there. I got straight thru and only had to give my email address to have it canceled. Took about 2 minutes.

    To cancel online.

    1) Login to your account
    2) Click Account Settings in the top right
    3) Click Manage Subscriptions

There should be an option to cancel it there

I had logged in to sky.com with my SkyPlayer credentials and it told me I had to be a premium user to see my account details online, so perhaps this option is only available if you log in to the Sky Player website. I couldn't check this as it's blocked in work.

Anyone find this around recently? Checked local stores in the south east but "out of stock" ?

If you're not interested in stockpiling the XBox remotes buying the packs, you can buy the Sky Code online for £4.99 (stg).
    http://cheapxboxlivecodes.com/xbox-live-gold-subscription-codes/xbox-live-sky-card/
They will e-mail you the code when you buy it.
    (price correct as of 22-7-10)

Sounds tasty - I didnt want to stockpile remotes either! Any more details - anyone tried this?

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you use the sky code on your PC to activate your SkyPlayer account? So if you didn't have an XBL Gold account, could you still use one of these codes?

Do these vouchers give you access to the Movie Channels which are available on the Sky Player?

The voucher gives you access to the sports channels and a few other. It gives you the option of spending another €9.50 to upgrade to the movie channels which also gives you access to the movie database.

In saying that, last month I bought a month code for cheapxboxlivecodes to watch the summer tour and for some reason I could watch the live movie channels but not access the database.

Just input the code and see if you can watch them, if you cant you can always go pack and pay the extra €9.50.

You would be able to use the code to watch the channels off your pc but you couldn't watch them from your xbox without a gold sub.

Could you buy multiple ones of these, and just re-apply them at the end of every month?

As far as I know the current set of 1 month cards expire pretty soon, around September. No point in buying a load of them.

I realise that, but the codes being sold for a tenner are on an xbox codes site. I'm wondering if these could be used with sky player on a PC, taking the xbox out of the equation altogether.

i have one of those, bought some time back but i have not activated it (dont even remember where the code is!).

ive kept that plastic cover, so the code should be around. im wondering, i have sky+ with the basic package, is there a way of using this code while using tv services?

if yes, how to input it?thanks for replying!

I'd be willing to pay £4.99 and then a further €9.50 for access to the Movies. You must of got access to Live Sky Movies because you have a Movie subscription with Sky?

Can you use these to access the PC version of Sky Player aswell? (I don't have an XBox and don't want one).

Nope, I don't have sky so it must just be a glitch.

Btw guys, you don't need an xbox for this to work, you can use the code to watch it from your pc. No xbox required! It's by far the cheapest way to watch the premiership.

Excellent! Can anybody else confirm that I can simply use my PC and I don't need an xbox to activate this?

Just buy it from here, much better value:

    http://cheapxboxlivecodes.com/xbox-live-gold-subscription-codes/xbox-live-sky-card/

I've gotten it from there twice and it emails the code straight away.

Yep, you sign up on the sky player site with the code. You then register your pc as the main computer. If you had an xbox you would download the sky app and register you xbox, if you don't have one than you don't need to do this.

Just don't forget to cancel the sub or it will charge you by DD. You can cancel straight away and stay subscriber for the whole month.

You can register up to 4 PC's and only one xbox, so you could log in with a different computer but it wont work with another xbox.

I forgot to ask does the red button feature work. Much prefer La Liga than Andy Gray at 6 on a Sunday!

Also, is it flash player based or what, if so it would even work on my phone then.
