Would you consider doing a sports science degree?
Third level fees still currently free.

Far more comprehensive than a 16 week effort by one the standard course providers.

Or is that timescale out of the question?

€1850 is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a 18 week Cert level course which doesnt have the best reputation.

I paid 800 for a 6 month RTWTS cert from Setanta college which included a level 1 Olympic Weighlfiting Coaching course

the only thing is that it is more aimed at training teams for sport as opposed to personal training.

that said, programme design is part of the course and i found it pretty good overall.
