Mix it with whatever you like....or get an alternative source of protein that you'll enjoy eating (like eggs, or meat or whatever).

protein, milk and banana equals milkshake imo. But I agree if you can't stomach something don't eat it. Brand does affect stuff though.

I don't drink milk either but I find them grand when they're mixed with water, just try a different brand/flavour maybe, I get the Gold Standard 100% whey, vanilla ice cream flavour, goes down a treat :) You could try it on your porridge too.

    Do you like coconut milk?
Cos you could mix it with coconut milk.
    In a blender.

    But...just have something else?

    Eggs? Chicken?

Biltongg and other jerky types are handy alright. discount supplements is where i got my last batch of jerky from and it was reasonably priced. Good stuff, and while i'm waiting for more whey, i'm eating some of this directly after the gym on my walk home.

Actually, cottage cheese : great source of protien and blend it up with berries and it's like a yoghurt. Lovely stuff!

    +1 to this post

I stopped eating yogurt and switched to this instead. I set it will a little gelatine and it ends up like a mousse. Delic :)

I’ve one of those handheld blenders, and I mixed it up with blueberries a while ago, no gelatine or anything. Just made sure lots of air was getting into it. And it set exactly like a mouse, was like a fruit flavoured aero yoghurt (remember those?)

Then don't eat them dry! A bit of salsa and you're flying. I can sort of see why he does it because it is a lot easier to drink a shake than eat that food, but there are better options surely.

I think it's the fact he eats a huge amount a day along with the shake. I guess even at his size there's a limit to how much solid food you can shove down you gob. On a vid I watched he said he eats close to 10k cals everyday...

Yeah I realise that but there are easier ways to get calories in than plain chicken breasts, and especially blitzed chicken breasts.

Yeah chicken is hardly the most calorie dense food. I would have thought the high fat shakes would be the way to go!

I'm currently gulping down a chocolate shake with 200ml of coconut milk and lots of water. Does anybody know if this kind of fat added to the shake can help slow down protein absorbtion for during the day shakes? I try to stick with whey isolate and avoid casein.

Not all protein powders will taste the same.

You could maybe try a few sample sizes to see how you find other brands and opt for water if you do not currently use water.

It can take a while to get used to it though tbh.

I started protein shakes a few weeks back. Got Gold Standard mint choc flavour. I can't get enough of them. It takes a hell of a lot of willpower to limit myself to one a day!

I love mint choc, and seeing as how I've cut out ice cream and chocolate this is the perfect replacement. Can't see myself getting sick of it, but you never know I suppose.

    Zapp, where'd you buy it?

Any decent places in town selling for a decent price?

I know there's great websites etc, but being home for deliveries is an issue at the minute unfortunately.

    1.Get delivered to work.

2.Tick the box that says "leave with neighbour if no answer"

3.Tick the box that says "leave at local post office if no answer"

4.Get it delivered to a freinds house who might not work.

5.Organise to pick up from local depot.

Plenty of ways to get around not being at home, and you will save money

OP have you tried Orange Juice with Vanilla Protein?
I did this a while ago with GAT Muscletein protein and found it very nice,
I still prefer water with Strawberry Myofusion but this was a nice alternative, I think the Yanks call it a Creamsicle :D
