Nintendo's e3 conference

I believe it's at about 5pmish tuesday

E3 is the event where new games and systems are shown off or annouced for the first time, It's hosted in Los Angeles and is gaming's biggest event of the year.

Nintendo are expect to show off the new legend of zelda for the first time as well as other suprises and the brand new 3DS

any impressions or predictions ?

cant wait to see some more gameplay footage of Metroid: Other M. Zelda is the big announcment of the show for me though, cant bloody wait to see anything on it, wonder what art style they'll go with? if they keep it similar to TP people will complain its too similar, go with something diffeent and the Wind Waker haters will decry another mad style.

So is Zelda the only thing that Nintendo will be bringing to the show this year? We've already had Galaxy 2 and they've already shown Metroid. I suppose they will show off the vitality sensor.

I would like to see a sequel to either New Super Mario Bros. Wii or DS.

It's all Nintendo this year baby!

New Zelda, 3DS, Goldeneye Remake, Pikmin 3, New Donkey Kong Game from Retro Studios Rumoured, Wii HiFI rumoured (HD Wii). That's not to mention we'll probably get a hands on with Metroid : Other M. This years E3 has been a complete role reversal with Microsoft going the casual route and Nintendo finally getting around to the hardcore.

I'm going into Nintendo's presentation with zero expectations as the last few years have been dreadful.

Their conference is usually on for just less than an hour but this one is scheduled for two full hours....

I'm getting the feeling there's something big about to happen!

Can't be any worse than the microsoft conference, I find it hilarious that MS and Sony are both bringing out wii rip-offs, and they're so much worse.

The big one for me is the 3DS, then Zelda, Goldeneye, hopefully Pilotwings, new wiimote with integrated motionplus and anything else is just fluff.

Although as stated before, I have a sneaky suspicion there's something even bigger about to be announced....

My one concern with the 3DS, battery life.

Autodownloading of game content, new levels, ghosts etc.
No doubt there will be auto downloading of little firmware updates to break flash cards too.

Very clever, Nintendo.

No release date or price but the fact they have so many to demo at the conference means it is in some form of mas production and might be out before the end of the 2010 fiscal year (so next march).

Zelda looked very poor graphically and the gameplay didnt work on stage. Probably just the intereference they were talking about. 3DS looked pretty sweet. Metroid looked great. DK looked great. Goldeneye poor. Still same old games really. Nothing amazing on show.

edit: really glad they stayed away from the vitality sensor and other crap they talked about last year.

Ok so seems Paper Mario and Animal Crossing have been both confirmed as titles for the 3DS too. No details if new versions or simple ports.

EDIT: Also Star Fox 64 3DS.

Photos I think, 3D video is still a bit off in the home market, although if nintendo crack it they'll have made one of the greatest devices ever, a games console with 3d recording capibilities? yes please.

Cant wait to see what they come up with for the 3DS, with new tech like this the initial launch titles will be a bit gimmicky but then the developers will learn to implement it a lot better.
