Had hoped to have everything ironed out in other thread but spotted Robknoll's comment that Saturday hasn't been working well for casuals - likely to be the same story for this...

Would Sundays work any better? (just throwing it out there!) Would people prefer to change to Sunday this week or keep Saturday (and perhaps go Sundays in future)

    🤪

Cant go this week at all because I'll be in malaga.
Hoping I can go to the rest though. Having finally sorted out the saturdays off with me boss I find that while I'm on hols a new guy will be in software at work and if he decides he no like working saturdays then I'm back at square one...

Good luck with whatever happens this week and I'll see ye all when I get back.

Hey hey hey whats this!... Wheres the second B!!! :D personally myself i think casuals friday night ( as im guessin most people will not be working and/or will be free) and saturdays or sundays for the league, Which ever one fits better for the populous. Just a thought.

Unfortunately I can't make it to this one man :(

Would love to play a couple of offline games especially In a tourney!

Unlikely I'll make it to this I'm afraid. I shall have to see how it goes.

Saturdays suit me much better than Sundays! Just this month is awkward, the rest of the summer should be ok most of the time!

Also, I was thinking we should get a league going on where we arrange games, like I'd be scheduled to play Sabre... 15 fights, each player gets a point for every match they win. We could have a league table, and it wouldn't go against people who can't make it every week. It would also be easy to add players as we go on, just gotta make sure everybody plays everybody else once!

    Any thoughts?

Sundays aren't a great day for me at all.

Trying to decide if it will be worth my while. I can always do Dublin casuals as usual otherwise.

    Saturdays it is so!

Would people prefer to push this out by a couple of weeks? As is stands, it could potentially be just me, FutureGuy and DooM...While I'd be happy with 3rd, it's nice to earn it rather than be awarded by default!

    🤪

I'll probably be at all future dates - this weekend is just unfortunate timing. I'd be up for it being pushed back a wee bit.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 25,872 Mod ✭✭✭✭Doctor DooM

Don't want to sound bad lads but if there's just going to be 2 of you there it's not really worth my while heading down...

I could probably go to Limerick tomorrow.

Well, if you go I'll go.

It'll be just like Belfast, only with less Donegal Pass.

Yeah, but we bypassed Donegal Pass for Fibbers!

I assume you want to get the train?

Find out how much it is and if it's reasonable I'll go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,971 ✭✭✭Orim

    I'll tag along as well.

Be great if their was more Dubs then Limerick heads.

Looks to be about €30 on the train. Leaves Houston at 10:00 and gets to Limerick at 12:19.

    Train home is at 18:55.

Looks like you limerick lads have competition!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,499 ✭✭✭Sabre0001

Damn, I'm falling down the rankings rapidly! :D

Time to work out logistics - Seven people; best to go?:
    a) League - everyone plays everyone (best of three matches, best of three rounds)
    b) Standard Groups >> Double Elim bracket

    🤪

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,093 ✭✭✭✭chopperbyrne

With that few people, everyone plays everyone.

Speedhaak said he might be along to this too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,971 ✭✭✭Orim

    Yeah everyone plays everyone.

Do the trains offer any kind of electricity? Cause I could bring down my laptop but the battery is pretty ****ed so I can't really use it unless it's plugged.

I think so but it depends on the seat.

**** it I'd stall it too but I don't think I even have 30 euro to spend this weekend and chances of me waking up in time for that train are slim :p

Bah, I've yet to make it to any out side dublin events.

    Have a good one lads.

What console will you be using and did anyone from Limerick leave a 360 controller disconnect cable in the XGC as I picked one up?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,971 ✭✭✭Orim

The events you travel to are great craic.

Right I'll bring it just in case. Get some ST going on the train.

Be in Hueston with time for 10 am.

We can use PS3 and 360 but only play on 360 until now. The cable is mine! Would be great to get it back!

Thanks to the Dublin lads for coming all the way down. We knew that lots of players couldn't make it so was great to get the league off to a great start.

Congrats to Doom for going undefeated (shocker) and thanks to Sabre for running the event.

I brought my camera and am currently uploading Doom v chopper. My internet is slow atm but hope to get 4 vidoes up asap.
