This film has been in development for several years now, and we finally have the first preview footage:

The music is by Laibach: if they do the whole soundtrack ... :D

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

I'm still gutted that they decided this be a comedy, really could've been a great serious script, as weird as that sounds when discussing Nazis on the moon

That being said I look forward to it!

    Now this looks interesting.

The premise is that after being defeated in World War 2 the Nazis fled the planet Earth and set up a base on the moon. Now they are coming back for revenge. Sounds bonkers enough to be fun.

Demand that it be shown in your city!

The swastika base on the moon reminds me of the old Marvel story which had the Thing go back in time and take on a collection of German and Japanese supervillans, one of whom had a flying swastika.

    A: Awesome.
B: Even more better is... this isn't a million miles away from some of the super-crazy plans the Nazis had during the war.
C: After the disappointment of Dead Snow, I could really use a movie like this.

That's for effin' well sure... They were into everything, in fairness...

This film is like a testament to that... Tho have the Nazis also discovered a way to stop aging??? Cos surely if they were THE Nazis and not just some neo-Nazis they'd all be over 100 now!!!

I love poking holes in films' plots, btw....

Ahhh but that's more, more betterer. C'mon. Nazis frozen in time. With their cold aryan sneers intact for sixty five years...

They have freakin' Laibach on the trailer, a more fitting soundtrack I can't imagine, and you're asking for Hasselhoff!?

Reminds me of the game Killzone a bit... in that people being forced off the planet then setting up their own world and coming back for revenge. Except this has moon Nazi's so this wins hands down :D

This is one of those movies that just goes so far over the edge that it becomes a cult classic like 300, Alien Vs Predator and Happy Feet

And I was using that as a flimsy excuse to post about Laibach.

In Iron Sky: Sarah Palin will be president when Nazis return from the moon http://www.wired.com/underwire/2010/12/iron-sky/ this was looking great till they added palin

i know from the trailer this was very camp aswell as being nazi stylised, but putting some lightweight up against the 'MOST EVIL FORCE ON EARTH (or off it)' just ruined it

Wow, I'm genuinely amazed this has made it to a cinematic release. Fair play - I remember it was once nothing but a proof-of-concept CGI trailer and that was all. Certainly no plot, cast, or Udo Kier was in sight.

That said, whilst it looks clearly like a giant p*sstake - and to me is majorly channeling Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - I suspect it'll either be awesomeness on toast, or else a 1-note gag that tires after the first 5 minutes.

There's now a full and 'proper' trailer to behold. Yeah, this movie is clearly batsh*t insane. Or possibly just sh*t, I'm not sure yet. Gotta love those slightly-off American accents the German actors are doing though:)

Pffft...thats not sci-fi - thats just a glimpse into the future of the European Parliament.

I expect space Nazis to be taking over sooner than 2018.

For a relatively low-budget movie, if not micro-budget (?), it looks incredible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,988 ✭✭✭constitutionus

its ridiculously better than it shoud be !

    :D

i have to say i'd pay to go see it in the cinema.

fair play to them getting it made at all but if they keep that level of quality i can see it doing great on the DVD market.

have a feeling itll be fun along the "slither" lines of a B movie or tremors. , with science fiction as opposed to horror course.

That first 4 minutes is amazing considering the budget that they had.

The uk and ireland distributer for this is Revolver Entertainment, so hopefuly there will be news on release dates shortly.
