I'm sure there's going to be a lot of quality shi-te talked before during and after the matches. Dunphy just called Gilardino a donkey. Souness just had a go at Italian negativity. Giles creaming himself over Spain.

Looking forward to the comments/discussions/arguments as much as some of the matches.

Happy World Cup SF! Almost here!

Dunphy: Dunga inherited a poor Brazilian team.
Giles: That's true. I'll concede that point to Eamonn.
    Dunphy: Thanks John!

Guy reporting on the French team in the hotel (which was only a backdrop of a lighthouse?) - Lets hope a Tsunami or a Hurricane doesn't hit the french camp.

If you're abroad and want to watch RTE, it MAY be available from the EBU web site:

    www.eurovisionsports.tv

In fact, there are loads of broadcasters participating.

They're the sort of guys that wished they had some sort of clue what they were talking about. Ruud is pretty good on Sky, give it a try sometime. British channel though :(

People ringing RTE complaining about the Vuvuzelas.

For fúcks sake. Is Joe Duffy not on today?

I don't care what anyone says i've always loved watching the RTE lads. They've had some absolute gems in the past especially when they're heavily criticising someone.

    How condescending was ITV?!!

Look at the poor black people who only just got electricity for
the game - and watching it on a sheet on the wall rather than a proper tv.

Why the fook didn't you bring them a tv then you bloody idiots.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 649 ✭✭✭Catenaccio!

    Why should they?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 342 ✭✭adm

    Why should they?

Its the usual tv BS - why do they choose to go to a poor village.
Oh it doesn't matter.... It just irritated me.

Ah I know what you mean, just winding you up. Who did they have roaming the streets interviewing these poor people?

Nobody, it was a cutaway to the village where one of the players came from I think.

Its on days like today that I realise how good RTE's soccer coverage is .
Not having to listen to cliched, sterile, banal, or hype, propaganda and censored drivel is nice.
