    My understanding that is that you cannot ignore a witness summons - failing to appear in court even if only as a witness can lead a judge to issue an arrest warrant for you.
    Hopefully someone here can give you more help that me , alternatively speak to a solicitor but I would advise you not to ignore a summons.
