We still have ours. No-one's taking that anywhere. Best Christmas present of all time. It's brilliant looking at it now too- that was once the most sophisticated, sleekest thing ever.

A few year's time though and it'll have that retro charm. The N64 is now a thing of beauty.

I have Chaos Black (Something like that), it's a GBA game, that came out years before black, also bought it in Vietnam, it is bizarre. Also, you cant get past a certain point because the came sequencing is messed up and you dont get a particular HM at the right time I think, that and it crashes a lot >_<

Playing a bit of Portal 2 on PC there. Grand single player though not much replayability.

Anybody want to play any co-op games? (Provided you have the PC/PS3 version and are willing to put up with a slow-witted mute)

Bleh, Portal 2 won't work on my Laptop. That's very annoying.

Plants Vs. Zombies is absolutely deadly though.

I got one... and I wasn't a new registrant... and I already had the Bulletstorm Epic Edition... trolololololol

I had fun playing Gears 3 for the first time tonight. Myself and a friend, playing on 2 new maps against a bunch of bots. The mechanics are fine. The problem is when you have to play a bunch of camping, shotgun-loving feckers. Then it gets extremely un-fun.

I was all set to play L.A. Noire tomorrow, but apparently it (combined with some questionable PS3 and 360 updates) has been murdering both consoles. Looks like I'll be waiting a while to get that one.

I miss the good ol' days when you bought a game that worked properly, and then you played it.

Best of luck with it! Rockstar are saying they're isolated cases, so maybe it's not that widespread, but there have been a lot of reports. I'm just a tad suspicious because my PS3 an auld'un, and I really don't want to go through any more console breaks. Already had three RROD'd 360s.

My old Playstation served me loyally for years, and then went to my cousin's house for a year or two. Must have been in use for six or seven years altogether. You won't get that from a PS3 or a 360!

Hmm. It's weird that I used to play games constantly in my teens. Now I couldn't really care about them. I've bought lots of games over the last few years and I couldn't be arsed playing the single player modes.

Do enjoy a good shoot 'em up or quick FIFA game though online or with friends.

We still have a perfectly working Sega Megadrive (by perfectly working, it'll work fine provided you blow into the cassette-holder before running the game :P ). It belonged to my cousins but they gave it to us when they got a playstation.

The same cousin got a PS3 there last Christmas and gave us their PS2 - the excitement - the first console we have owned since the Sega Megadrive (a bit behind the times! - we just play games on the computers, never bothered with the console lark :P )

I'm the same really. I used to play PES almost every day after school and homework, along with all the great games of the time, Unreal Tournament 2003, the PS2 GTAs, TimeSplitters etc. I also got a great time out of Xbox Live for a few years, but I really buy games a lot less now, even though I have more money than when I was a kid. It's weird.

I think as games have gotten closer to movies, I scrutinise them in the same way. Red Dead Redemption was a fine game, but because it tried to be a film story, dialouge and cinematics wise (and failed) I disliked it. I don't for sure.

In any case, I can still plug in my N64, my 2002 PS2 or the Slim one, and they'll all work. It's very annoying that consoles have such a limited lifespan now. I'm already set against buying another game for my 360, just in case it breaks.

Just thought I'd bump this thread for Terraria and...


Both are way too addictive tbh, but amazingly fun. I just hope that the Terraria developers bring out some new content soon, things got fairly stale at an alarming rate once you've killed the (3) available bosses and explore the various regions.

I never actually shelled out for beta in the end. I went on a 2 week long Minecraft binge over easter and I meant to buy it but never did. Haven't played it since. Though Tallon's server looks amazing.
