This should be okay. Apart from the listening. Does anyone know what happens if you're in an exam hall for the JC? Do we go to seperate rooms?

    No :)
the examiner has the cd and cd player in your room and plays it.

Love the way deise's thread was totally ignored. Well I don't "love" but I find it an-barrúil :D

Because we're in an exam hall with 200 students so it might be a little difficult to hear the tape all the way from the back? :P

My irish teacher said not more than 2 pages as you can slip up.
I learned geit, doiteain and róbail :)

Ohh right thanks. Gives me three hours tomorrow to revise my pros and filiocht tomorrow and actually learn an intro to a letter ._.
Maybe I'll head over to that wonderful Notes thread... did anyone post a letter opening?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,207 ✭✭✭decisions

Cant stand it got 0 for it in my mocks

I can do it when I'm told "here it is on its own. Change to future tense". Cannot do it at all if it's "here it is in future tense change to past".
They were a little mean springing this on us but I'm glad I don't have to do any Comhras any more :D

Haha. I'm gonna mess up. :) I know 2 pros and all filiochtas I think. Only I cant do the unseen stuff. Or grammar. I hate the grammar. But my teacher said they're usually easy on us when they change the exam and give us new stuff. :)

Thats the mocks we had too! I wrote that I won 100 euro on the radio. My friend got upset because we were already rich and shes poor and never wins anything. I gave her 50 euro. She was all happy and excited and was jumping around so much that she jumped in front of a car. :L I took the 50 euro from her hand and ran home. :D

Yes! I'm writing about a road traffic accident. No matter what comes up, I'm just writing down my essay!:)
I'm guessing it might say the weather will be good, because last year it was a storm in the eachtra...?

    Good luck!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 333 ✭✭Vivara

Who thinks I'm covered by knowing a scéal that fits the following:
    • A storm
    • Bad weather
    • Walking in the mountains
    • School Tour in Ireland
    • School Tour abroad
    • An accident in the country
    • Camping
    • General Accident

I think the topic has become more general over the past few years and this story has fit at least the past five years as far as I can tell.

    So, who thinks I'm sorted?

    Ed.

your obviously sorted, you make me feel so unprepared!
ive only learned off a concert, and its not even that well learned off tbh.. need to go over it in the morning. do you think i'll be okaay with just a concert?

I've only learned about an accident!
It should do me for "a day you'll never forget" "an accident abroad" etc etc!

Thanks! I'm just nervous that a party in your house or shopping in the city or something like that will come up. That would be a nightmare...

I think you have a good enough chance if you are able to make your concert be abroad (Spain or something), as well as in Ireland and just make sure an accident occurs like an earthquake or something. The trend has been something like that over the past few years. Given that they just changed the layout, I think they will err on the side of caution in all areas. That could just be being hopeful though.

That would work for me if my brilliant teacher hadn't forced us to learn excellent vocab... like 50 out of 50 stuff... she said not to be making up your own Irish... she wants 'her' Irish... plus, my crappy Irish followed by loads of the tuiseal ginideach, saor briathars and plenty of the modh coinniolach just won't fly in my eyes. Sigh. I'm going to have to prepare a second story me thinks!

Im a attendant for this years leaving cert and people are getting moved from hall to classroom. It was the same for my JC. The acoustics does be so bad in most big halls that they have to separate large numbers.

Exactly what I'm planning to do: I will make it fit.

I'll be doing the same in paper 2: anger, sorrow, love, nature, resentment, family, animals . . . I will MAKE it fit my poem and story!
