    Hi,

I'm trying to build up my leg muscles both strength and mass. I've been doing squats and lunges for a while (2 months) but in a very unstructured way. Just basically doing a bit here and a bit there but not sticking to a schedule. Also these are basically the only two exercises I've been doing.

I want to do this as I was injured with a knee injury which is healed now. I was told building up the muscles around the knee would be the best way to avoid a recurrence of the injury.

I was hoping someone could give me an idea of the best exercises to do and an idea what number of reps and sets I should build up to?

    Thanks,

    Wayne.

Starting Strength seems like a good one for you.

I'd get the book as well.

Cheers, just did a quick search there and found a few copies. Just to be sure, this is the Rippetoe book on barbell training is it?
