BCAA supplementation - too much?

    Hi guys

I'm currently taking A mass gainer as my morning and post workout shakes and more recently have been taking bcaa tabs before meals. Since taking the tabs I have definitely experienced noticable gains, not sure whether or not this is a placebo effect or not!

My question is; considering my shakes already have quite a high level of bcaa's, is extra consumption necessary or beneficial in any way. And if not what are the potential 'side effects', for want of a better word.

Will my body just excrete any excess, or could his affect my kidneys in some way?

    Thanks in advance.

Sometimes you answer your own question....

What's your total protein intake for the day anyway?

Well I'm not sure what to put the gains down to in all honesty. Quicker then I've ever experienced. But I had been away from resistance training for quite some
time so that obviously has something to do with it.

I'm wondering have I already reached saturation as such, with my shakes and protein intake through food too. Is it a case of the more the better?

I'm nit sure exactly what my intake is. I'd say somewere around 170-180grams. I don't track my diet.
