    Hey guys,

Just wondering if many people here are members in Raw gym on camden st in Dublin? If so would you recommend it?

Does it get very busy in the evening? Is it a suitable gym for someone whos new enough to weights? I just want a good friendly place to train where theres no attitudes or egos.

    Any advice appreciated

Yeah it's a great place to train, has all the equipment you need really.

I try to avoid the place around 6-7 though. Gets a bit busy for my liking but to be honest, every gym across the country is probably going to be jammed once people get off work.

It's the best gym I've trained in, nice atmosphere and most people are just there to work out - no messers. I go in the evenings between 6-8 and it's grand, fair bit busier than during the day but not jam packed. The only annoying thing is that the bootcamp they have on takes up a fair bit of space around that time which can be annoying if you want to use the rings or the track for anything. Other than that it's a class gym, you should definitely check it out, I was able to do a free workout there to try it out before I joined so you could look about doing that and see what you think.

If you pay by DD it's €54 a month, there was a joining fee when I joined too, think it was €75 far as I remember. I'm not sure about the annual fee but I think they posted something on it in one of the stickies here about gym offers if you have a look.

It's a great gym. Very good range of free weights and weights machines.

From my experience there are a lot more guys than girls going there, but as a female I haven't felt intimidated walking up to the free weights. So good atmosphere too.

Are you at college or working ? They have student/ corporate membership rates if you ask about it, it pays to haggle!
