I bought an exercise bike(Reebok edge) a few month ago. I notice a smell coming from it, while I was putting it together, but thought it would fade with time. Well 5 months on it still as strong as every. Has anyone had a problem like this or been able to remove the strong smell.

Unless you have to plug it in, you should be able to carry it outside in good weather.

Or you could always try Fabreeze.

Yeah it has to be plugged in . I will give fabreeze a go not too sure it will help as its quiet strong(I can smell it the minute I go upstairs). Cheers

I bought mine on ebay, got if for a steel got it home and it reeks and has done for over 4 months to the point where i feel sick. I ripped it open today as best as i could as couldnt remove pedals, detol cleaned it all, thought that would do it but no the smell is still there. It did smell like it was coming from the rubber belt though.. my hand stinks of the smell now too.. oh and the smell is still there. Its going in the garage

Argos put me through to Reebok who informed me a bad batch of grease was use on the bike. Argos organised a replacement, but it was the same thing, stinky as hell. So I a ordered different model in the end from Argos.
