Snappin hip syndrome

Can anyone recommend and excercises or stretches that can help snapping hip syndrome.

I only really get it when performing reverse crunches, snaps when i extend my legs fully(i obviously wont extend anymore, but it would be nice o be able to do it without an annoying snap)

My main thing here though is just to look after my right snapping hip so it does not become a problem later in life.

    Any suggestions would be good.

There are potentially a lot of structures that can cause the snapping hip...

Foam rolling the ITB, Gluts, Quad should help loosen the surrounding structures around the hip.

Stretches for the Hip Flexors, Gluts will also help.

If the snapping continues then its worth having the hip looked at.

Thanks, had it looked at(by GP) couple years ago and it went away(or i just hadnt noticed it for about a year). Just seems to be back the last year or so, no pain what so ever, its just a bit annoying when it happens.
Will add more/extra stretching after warm up and again during my workouts.

Question for you - when it snaps does it hurt or can you just feel it?
I've been wondering about mine for a while. I have an internal femoral torsion on my right femur and it makes this odd noise if i abduct my leg. I've heard of snapping hip before but what's your take on it?

"I have an internal femoral torsion on my right femur"
Dont really know what this means haha, so i cant really answer, you would need to talk to a doc or a physio mate.

With mine its just a popping noise, i can feel it but it never hurts. Its just really annoying when it happens but i have read that stretching can eleviate it and sometimes make it less likely to pop.

But it can hurt some people later in life i have been told.

    Its quiet a common thing.

Doc said if it ever hurts for more than a day then go for scans etc.think they can operate on it or sumtin.
