    Hi,
I want to study languages at university, but while most colleges and universities have nursing courses, business courses etc not many have language courses. The best I have found so far is Applied Languages at UL, but this is like 450 points so does anyone know of any level 8 language courses with points in the region of 280 - 400 points?

    Thanks in advance,
    Brian

You can study languages in any level 8 Arts degree. The points are usually under the 400 mark (360 first round in UCC 2009) so should suit you. With studying a language there is often the opportunity to study abroad for a year - which is great!
I don't know what language or languages you're interested in, but this link will give you an idea of studying BA French http://www.ucc.ie/en/study/undergrad/what/acsss/ck101french/ I'd presume other languages would be similar.

Thanks, Nelly. Since I wasted so much of the past six years I hope I can get enough points for Arts (I have UCC on my CAO application already). :(

Hmm, I wonder what college's Arts course will have the lowest points this year?

European studies in UL? 385 last year. Looks quite similar to applied languages
