Just check to see if anyone has ever got this......

For months and months ive been watching my good diet and working out cardio(running\swimming\spinning and weights(free and machine). I am always really motivated and get stuck in and usually i cant be stopped................this week, the last 3 days...im just tired....i was spinning last night..finished the class but just didnt get the normal "oh yeah" feeling.....i normally workout 5-6 days a week, is there a time when you really do have to just rest and take it easy...anyone ever get a few days where it just aint happening for them????

I would advise having a down week(less intense) roughly every 4-5 weeks.

I agree with everything said below. Above might be a good idea as you move forward.

It happens to us all from time to time, take a few days off - ideally a week, recharge your batteries and you'll be flying when you get back to the gym.

Your body is telling you to rest, and the heat won't be helping either - it takes time for your body to adjust.

Yeah I'd agree it's no biggie unless it's prolonged really. Has any other factors in your life changed recently? Sleep? Diet? Allergies? Sickness? Stress? Could play a part.

No , no other factors, i tend not to count stress because as soon as you mention stress somebody pipes up with how they are more blah blah and sure what would you have to be stre....blah blah...you know the sort

I can only put it down to the fact that i do have a very active lifestyle so to speak, like im in the gym 5-6 days and working monday to friday and 2 rounds of golf and some driving range and a few other hobbies i try keep up with..just general daily life i guess, i think ill take it easy for the long weekend...maybe have a lie in or 2...no saturday morning spinning this weekend:D

To me it just sounds like you're exhausted! You seem to have a busy lifestyle (like me) and obviously like to keep busy with always something going on! It happens to everyone! I'd say take the long weekend off and you'll be raring to get back into it... Have you got a gym buddy or do you work out alone? It's situations like this where having somebody to work out with makes a huge difference...
