It really depends. If you've got a good memory, you may remember a lot of the information. Just do beneficial studying. Make sure you get everything covered, just even do it briefly. Then go back to focusing on certain areas in detail which you'd prefer to answer on, etc.

Good luck with the studying & exams Daniel! :)

    No you're not...
You're probably not the only person who hasn't started studying yet.
If you've worked throughout the year(homework and whatnot) then you shouldn't be too bad.
    You'll be fine!

It's the junior cert, who gives a ****.

How bad is your school if 490 points gets num 1 spot.

Sorry but my sis wasnt in my school.
And 490 is actually amazing so stfu

I did not one bit of study for my JC and came out with an A, 2 B's, 6 C's and a D, which isn''t horrible!

Just try your best and if you fail at least you know you tried your best.

You are not your sister and her learning style may not be anything like yours.
You may do 'better', you may do 'worse' than her. In the end it doesn't matter as long as you try your best.

The Junior Cert as an exam is designed to maximise marks for candidates.

Um, why are you even in the Junior Cert forum? You're attitude is not appreciated here, particularly when the JC is less than a week away.

Wow, anymore wise tips for us?

It gives you experience for the LC so the day of English paper 1 in the LC, you are not nervous about doing your first state exam

I don't like to say it but he does have a point. 490 is a very good result but to the highest in the year is a bit low. The highest last year in my school was 580 and this year it will definitely be over 500.

I have loads. Another good one is that 20% of the effor gets 80% of hte results. This helps a lot in the leaving cert when you have to balance effort between subjects.

I'd love to have somebody like myself to advise my younger self but to be honest there is not much I would change.

Hey, I'm giving you the benefit of my wisdom. Take it or leave it.

Well your "wisdom" is certainly not appreciated here, troll.

Daniel, it's not too late to start studying now, as long as you maximise your time. As mentioned above what your sister got is largely irrelevant, she's no standard to base how you get on by, you should do that on how well you tried.
Pick a section you're fairly well at (say Science), study the Biology section for an hour, do an hour of exam papers, take a 15-30 min break, and study the parts you got wrong for another hour. Make sure when you're studying, you're distraction free, no phone, telly, boards .
There really is no point trying to learn something you absolutely cannot understand now.Just take your time and relax, you still have a week (I think, I'm in college) to study and in that time alot can be done!
Best of luck in your exams, PM if you need anything else.

Since when does 20% effort earn 80% in any leaving cert subject, especially honours ones, and ones seen as the most difficult like maths and english?

You're clearly up your own h**e, and I doubt you're helping anyone here.

For what its worth you learn more in the morning so an early start and early to bed. I used to cram and get up at 5am and I got through it all. You will be grand. I went through school, and Uni as a crammer, Its the best way to be :)

Barely opened a book. For every A I get a hundred euro so I'm going to concentrate on subjects that I might actually get an A in..

    Ah you can!
I don't actually think I've ever gotten an A in CSPE come to think of it, but that's because I've never taken it seriously tbh!
I'm sure there's plenty of other subjects you could get an A in anyways!
