    Hi guys,

Im relatively young at 21 and have been playing sport all my life, however over the last few years ive developed pain in my soleus and achilles tendons. It bothers me quite a bit over long distance running.

I think its because my legs are slightly rotated inwards, when i land its as though my ankle shoots inwards, basically my legs aren't working in a straight line i feel. (apologies if this doesnt make sense, im finding it difficult to explain):o

Does any1 know what im on about and have any advice, ive been told its all stemming from weak glutes, would this make sense?

Have you seen a specialist about your problem? You should do that before seeking advice online.

Pretty much what Danger said. You need to seek advice or referral from your GP.

yea ive seen a few different people and been given different solutions, just thought i might get some different opinions before I try something, like ive been told there is no need for orthotics and that with enough excercises i should be able to right it, it does seem like fallen arches but apparently thats not the problem.

    Hi There

In fairness, if you have seen qualified professionals and received advice on how to sort this out, then this is the advice you should be following and not advice illicited from some random starngers on a public Internet forum.

What makes you think you will get more informed advice from folks who have not and cannot see you or physically examine you?

    Best Regards,

    M

What they all said. People on the internet can give you advice that may harm you so we don't allow it when there's an injury or pain involved.
