    Hiya,

Does anyone have a video camera that could be used as a prop in a film?
Does not need to be in working order (no handy cams) we can always give it back once we're finished. We would need it from the 23rd of June to the 30th.
    Your help is greatly appreciated,

    Please contact,

I'm afraid I don't myself, but it might not be a bad idea to go into FilmBase (right beside The Button Factory/Meeting House Square in Templebar) and see if they happen to have any damage/broken equipment. Odds are if they do they will let you rent/buy it at a very knock-down rate. The likes of Trinity, Ballyfermot, DBS, UCD, etc might also have some stuff if FilmBase don't (though your only hope for them is if something is badly broken and essentially worthless). It is also the summer of course, so the colleges won't be needing them for student use.

Basically if you scour places that should have lots of cameras, you are bound to find somebody who has something that looks in fine condition but is actually broken beyond all repair and essentially just a box with some defunct electrical stuff inside. Even if whomever might have these would want to use them in future as props themselves, you should be able to rent them at a low price and more likely than not, any deposit needed will be tiny.

    That's just a hunch, mind.
