Hi Paul, Do You guys pay C Class fighters as some of the Northern shows are doing again, like Martys shows. I know C class dont get paid same amount as A or B, but I have a couple of guys wondering.:)

Hi Paul, Do You guys pay C Class fighters as some of the Northern shows are doing again, like Martys shows. I know C class dont get paid same amount as A or B, but I have a couple of guys wondering.:)

    Hi Juijitsu black

To be honest I'm not a supporter of Amateurs been payed, it puzzles me how it goes from people paying to fight in the leagues to been paid for doing what they train for fun for, of course there is more money available to pay them but i think its a precedent that i don't like, C class is amateur and if people choose to fight for pay then they should fight B or A class which is pro.

Fighters do get ticket sales money if they choose to but again that is not pay and if a lad sells 20 tickets he'll get 100 euro-thats not bad considering they pretty much sell themselves to family and friends plus club mates.

Putting C class fighters on shows makes it worth there while training and gives them something to train for, my club is always busier when fights are coming up. some will never move up levels and that's fine but the ones that choose to are gaining invaluable experience in the fight itself and handling fighting in front of a crowd.

On a separate issue it's potentially leaving yourself open to legal issues as you have amateurs fighting for pay-if amateurs will only fight for money then i think that's a sad state of affairs and there in the game for the wrong reasons, D,C class is all about gaining experience and that's why lads fight on the Rumble in Rush,

Please don't respond to this as I've answered your question thoroughly and its taking this off topic, if you want a debate about which has been done to death please set up a seperate thread-Thanks

Rush Boxing club and Rush Martial Arts head coach.

Delighted to see Andrew's long awaited MMA debut. Stalwart MMA fighter despite his lack of participation until now. He is great standing up and great on the ground. I don't know much about his opponent but all the juku ryu guys bring it in the cage so its bound to be a class battle!

Not saying she is a kickboxer now Barry, or that Adrianna is a thai boxer-there both MMA fighters now and Thai is an essential part of that!

just stating there starting points though, maybe i'm wrong but i thought Amanda came from Kickboxing, :)

at the moment, only in Rush but i will make plans to get them to other clubs as soon as they let me know what they want..

PM me if you want to make plans to get tickets. thanks

Lee Metcalfe comes in to replaces Jason Quinn who is unfortunately injured for the fight with Paul Hamill, Paul is the more experienced training wise but Lee has had more cage action, i see this as a 50/50 fight and 1 that i'm really looking forward too.

Tickets on sale from me and rush fighters and will be with other club fighters soon..

Normally not, i've started selling later this time though as i was focusing on my fight-so ya never know!

plenty of times people from boards have sent me money and i've sorted them out with tickets though so ya could do that to make sure you'll get 1..

any news on getting tickets at the door

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,549 ✭✭✭✭cowzerp

There wont be news on that till the day before-if the tickets sell out that's it, if not we will allow people pay at the door, the tickets are really moving now that my fight is out of the way and i can focus on this show, what i do know is 2/3rds the tickets are gone and I've yet to supply a number of clubs as of yet, the last 3 where easy sell outs so the only reason this 1 wont be is that we started selling later than usual..

Hope this helps, ps, if you plan on going I'd just get them now to guarantee your place and so you can just relax about missing out..

    Thanks and hope that helps...

Weigh ins will be on friday at 6pm, for Dublin fighters it will be in Rush and for our country friends they will be doing them at home!

Nearly there and everything ready to go, 1 junior match added so the final card has 13 matches and should be a great night...
