I already think I'm wrong because I can't picture that scene, but to me that really looks like Roy Neary/Richard Dreyfuss in 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'?

    4. images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQFdj_MUO009Fs-0hklBxDCJ-2_g-CeHviH7Tsk3taAPbvEY5MY

I'm pretty sure that's Pulp Fiction.

Fluke: You're on the right track!

DelbertGrady: It's not from Tracks. I'm afraid I don't know that movie at all, so could'nt really say if you are close!

Hint: It's from a movie which was kind of remade (under a different title) within the last decade.

A couple of these still left, so just giving a few hints.

    3. This scene is from an Irish movie. One of the lead actors has been nominated for an Academy Award.

    4. The actor in this shot went on to give an acclaimed performance as a very well known 20th Century figure in later years
