    To answer your question
    No - The G3 is between 250F & 460F - I tend to keep between 260 & 300F
    and
the Salon Series is between 230F & 450F

awe ok thanks - that makes more sense..

i will begin my search after xmas.. i have very course think curly/fuzzy hair - i need something good but not one that will be hard to manage... ie one that i could damage my hair with,.

Piece of cake - I went on their website and watched the Karmin G3 Salon Pro YouTube review several times and mimicked what I saw on screen. It took me around 5 times to get it so I can now do it by feel without looking in a mirror. Admittedly I have short hair so no problems at all but I do go mad on occasions and change from smooth straight to curls!

gonna look for GHD hair straighteners in the Black Friday sales - where would be a good place to look for a pair in the sales? (i am in Cork city so I guess I am asking about stores that are Nationwide - unless some of ye have knowledge specific to Cork city) thanks

Check their website but they usually only give £20 off from as long as I've been looking. I've never seen a half price set :( mine are 9 years old so I'm eager for replacement....

My beloved ghd's died a couple of months ago and I just couldnt afford to get another set at the time. I had a look on argos and boots sites to see if I could get something decent and I ended up buying a remington ProTect in boots half price €45. They are actually better than the ghd in my opinion and you can use a stem setting on them a bit like the steampod but not as bulky! They are half price again at the moment for black friday offer.
