The Pacific has picked up alot of Emmy's, mostly in the teechnical dept.
Nice to see Friday Night Lights get a nod, hopefully with it ending it'll finally get a win.
I can't see Glee getting that many, especially in the acting categories....too much established and strong competition.

I am glad Connie and Kyle from FNL were finally nominated for Emmys its long overdue

Sharon Gless for Burn Notice for best actress supporting drama is a surprise even though I love the show didnt think she would be a contender

Yeah, about time Connie and Kyle finally deserved the Emmy nod...but they have very strong competition.

I'm just not a fan of plagiarism, if you copy and past someone elses work at least have the decency to credit them or post a link to the original.

Liz...edit your post and add credit to shut him up, Darko...shouldn't you be off ranting at Twilight girlies?

    Anyways, full list here: http://tvbythenumbers.com/2010/07/08/2010-primetime-emmy-nominations-announced/56410

Flash Forward also got a couple of noms. Great that Sheldon got a best actor nod.

There never show emmy love to the CW and the only CW show worth an emmy nomination is Supernatural especially Jensen Ackles

Please tell there is a misprint somewhere there and John Lithgow is nominated! That is the biggest joke ever! He had to be a guaranteed win but he is not even bloody nominated!

Shows how much of a joke the emmys really are.

edit: he is nominated for best "guest actor". Load of balls. He was in every episode, not one or two. He was basically supporting actor which I believe is what he won the golden globe for. That is what he should have been nominated for.

Also very sad that Lost is going to win best drama just because it is the last season when really it was an average at best season and the several of the other noms deserve it ahead of Lost.

The whole thing is ****ed, sure Cranston has won the last two Emmys but hasn't even gotten a nomination from the Globes.

Love to see Jim Parsons win, but i doubt it somehow.

I am so pissed off at the Community snub. The Office had a really lacklustre season and doesn't deserve it's nominations.

Nurse Jackie isn't even a comedy!

do you think they could give a load to Lost? seeing as it finished and there was such a huge thing about the series finale...
If not i dont see Dexter loosing out on too much...its just amazing!

delighted that Kyle Chandler got a nod...i heart him! although John Hamm and Michael C Hall!!

has anyone confirmed of John Lithgow got nominated? he's not showing on list but the LA Times said he was nominated...serious joke if he isnt!!

Think Jane Lynch deserves one for Glee...i cant see them winning much of the 19 with the people they are against!

I'd be very surprised if it ever did. It's a completely ingenious show and very well acted (I think) and written, but it just isn't the kind of show that would be nominated for these awards.. too low-brow I'd say. It'd be comparable to Jackass winning an emmy.

I just noticed, Ed O'Neill wasn't nominated for Modern Family but every other adult cast member was!? He's the best actor in the show!

    Phil's wife sucks!

Would have liked to see Dean Norris in Breaking Bad get a nod for the supporting actor, he was incredible this season. It probably came down to choosing between himself and Aaron Paul though which is tough..

If there was an award for most improved actor it would go to Aaron Paul, which is probably why he was nominated for supporting actor.

    Hey,

Will the Emmys be shown on UK TV? That E! channel maybe?

Really think Terry O'Quinn deserves to win for his portrayel of the Man in Black in the final season of Lost, i never once thought "that's John Locke", except for the parts when he was playing Locke, brilliant actor and would love to see him get recognised.

And Walter White deserves the three-peat!

    http://www.whatsontv.co.uk/drama/tv-news/news/jamie-wins-emmy-for-us-series-food-revolution/10038
Jamie Oliver won an Emmy for best reality show at the US creative arts Emmy Awards this weekend.
His controversial US series Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, aimed at improving American eating standards, caused much debate when it was screened in the US earlier this year
    .
But it eventually drew audiences of 7.5 million, significant in the fragmented US television landscape, and praise from critics.
Jamie wasn't at the awards to accept the Emmy.
The creative arts Emmys, which honour technical achievements, are a precursor to next weekend's main Emmy awards.
Neil Patrick Harris was both a presenter and winner at the ceremony, winning two prizes - best guest actor in a comedy series for his appearance on Glee and he was also recognised for hosting last year's Tony Awards.
John Lithgow took home the prize for outstanding guest actor in a drama series for his appearance in serial-killer drama Dexter.
Mad Men, which screens on BBC4 in the UK, won in two categories - best hairstyling and best casting in a drama series.

Pathetic that John Lithgow's emmy win isn't even part of the main ceremony. He should have been best supporting actor.

RTE 2 (Sky 102) on Monday night at 9pm highlights show

Glad for Jayne Lynch, much deserved....while i'm not a fan of Modern Family i can accept it winning over Glee. Ryan Murphy as best director????...for the pilot?, seriously...no way!
    Cranston...again?, jeez....give someone else a gong ffs!

THRILLED Jim Parsons won, totally deserved....The Pacific was a deserved win, i think a shocker is the lead actress award for The Good Wife, i think alot of people thought Julianna would get it, how many gongs has Kyra won now?

My only major beef with the whole thing is NO noms or awards for Spartacus...utter scandal!, John Hannah should have been nommed for best actor at least, not sure if i'd say lead actress for Lucy Lawless, i don't think she was that worthy imo.

Overall pretty much as expected with one or two upsets....the Glee kids kicked off the show with a rendition of "Born To Run" :-)

    Nina Dobrev!

Outstanding Comedy "Modern Family." - f*ck!...Glee got screwed!
And good taste finally won over!

Don't get me wrong.. 'Glee' can be funny but 'Modern Family' didn't have a single poor episode this year and had some truly hilarious scenes.

'Glee' on the other hand was patchy as f*ck.. in fact, they were re-airing the episode before the mid-season break there on TV on Saturday (or Friday) and it made me realise how truly abysmal that show can be.

Congrats to 'Modern Family'. And glad to see 'Breaking Bad' still doing well - the awards for Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul (particularly this season, he was fantastic) was well deserved!

Also good to see Jim Parsons win for 'The Big Bang Theory'.. while I'm not hugely sold on the show, he is always excellent in it. Shame about the rest of the cast! :o

Delighted for Bryan and Aaron from Breaking Bad. They're the best dramatic team on TV at the minute. Some of Aaron's scenes this past series were incredibly well acted especially his
incredibly scary rant at Walt after he gets the **** beaten out of him by Hank. Also his grief over Jane's death.
