Hi just question. I take strawberry milk after my weight workout to give me some good protein.

I find strawberry milk much better to take then ordinary milk.

Was wondering is strawberry milk a good thing to take after a weight workout? I dont take it all time just maybe once to twice a week.

    Thanks to all

It would depend on the brand of strawberry milk really id say....some of them are really loaded with sugar and dont really have much of the properties of milk.

I might be wrong but i think avonmores strawberry milk is supposed to be good

it probably has less sugar than some of the "mass gain" shakes that are way more expensive.

I remember reading a comparsion of chocolate milk and a biotest pwo shake on the interweb a while ago. The chocolate milk came out on top.

I've drank chocolate milk a few times pwo myself, but you're probably better off sticking to whole milk the majority of the time.

I drink choclate milk and strawberry milk all the time. I go for the avanmore one. Strangely enough they seem to have more protein per 100mls than whole milk. They can't be all that bad

Like nearly all flavoured milks they are full fat. If your looking for something for a post work out drink, protein powder for shakes and use low fat milk. Far better imo.

What if one wants the fat? You can't build muscle without it.

I think he is saying specifically for PWO. I have heard people saying fat delays absorption of protein or something, doesn't really worry me much.

I use full fat all the time. Supermilk is low fat in case people didn't know, many presume it just has added vitamins..

Never heard that about fat delaying protein absorption.

Supermilk actuall comes in whole and low fat now, whole has a blue and red label and low fat has a green and red lable.

Pretty sure the Avonmore ones are made with low fat.
