    Hi,

I'm am trying to lose weight for the summer.I've been trying for the past two weeks and i'm not sure if i'm doing enough.

I currently am at about 12.6 stone. My height is 5ft 11.

I try to exercise three times a week. Going to the gym once and bootcamp sessions twice a week (i find them very tough and sweat a bucket)

    Breakfast:

Either boiled / scrambled eggs (made with water)
Oats with goats milks and bananna

    Lunch:

    Either Veg Soup
Or Salad (lettuce, peppers, tomato, sweetcorn, cucumber)
with either prawns, mackeral, tuna or chicken

    Dinner:
Usually stirfry (peppers, onions, courgettes, etc)
    usually with chicken or salmon

I snack on nuts during the day or toss them into the salad/stirfry usually just a hand full

I also snack on fruit between breakfast - lunch and lunch - dinner.

I only drink water or herbal teas (peppermint or camomille)

    Thanks for reading,

    Any pointers appreicated.

At 5-11, you are probably not far off your proper weight now. Eat at a small deficit, so you can ease into a maintenance level without trouble.

Scrambled eggs with water? Use cream or butter or a splash of milk. A low carb diet should not be low fat as well.

Is the oats as well as, or as an alternative to the eggs?

Fruit has its place, but I'd go for the lower gi/cal ones before bananas. At this time of year, go heavy on the berries.

Have you a particular reason for avoiding coffee?

    Hi,

Thanks so much for your reply,

The oats are an alternative to eggs actually had the oats with berries today but found it way too sweet i might have put in too much though.

Sometimes i have fruit smooties with berries and natural yoghurt.

I never drank coffee but i used to be mad into tea with milk. I'm trying to avoid milk and bread as i don't think they agree with me.

I'm not sure if its one or both but since i have cut them out i haven't had stomach cramps, bloating which feels great.

    Thanks for your help,

Okay, that's a good reason to avoid.

Personally, I'd rather eat the berries fresh than waste them in a smoothie, but your choice.

diet looks fine to me but keep an eye on making sure your getting enough protein. also 2 weeks is very little time, sometimes it can take a couple of months for any significant difference to occur but it will happen:) smoothies made with berries are fine, not a waste of berries imo
