Is it possible to change how you run? what i mean by this is how your foot hits the ground? Can you force yourself to have a neutral footstrike?

Get a pair of these maybe? That way you strike with the ball of your foot rather than the heel!

When i say strike i mean when my feet strike the ground ive noticed they arent entirely pointing the direction im running, there not parrelel. The top of my feet point slightly outwards as my feet strike the ground, i.e. left foot points out to the left and right foot points out to the right.

I had gait analysis done by the guys out in Amphibian King, they said that my heels turn inward when i strike so they suggested shoes which would correct it to a degree. Did help!

Course you can change your gait.

I've moved to a forefoot/midfoot strike through practise.

It's a long path - i've been doing it over the last 4 months. The move from heel to mid strike uses muscles differently and you can feel it.

Edit: the last sentance doesn't exactly explain what i'm trying to say... I found my calfs were used alot more with the new gait and doing a run i had previously no issues with would cause alot of strain in my calfs. Hope this makes sense :)
