The previous ppv poster featured Christian on it so I guess he is not in SD's main event title match :( which will be Punk/Swagger/Rey/Show

Maybe then Kane will take Rey's spot

I could see Swagger Vs Show Vs Christian Vs MVP

Are all the matches on the card going to be Fatal 4-ways or just the main events? The constant breaking up of pin attempts would get tiresome pretty quickly!!

The IC title picture is pretty crowded with Kofi, Drew, Hardy and Christian all involved, so a 4-way there seems likely. A 4-way US title match would also be easily booked: R-Truth v. Miz v. Ted DiBiase v. Morrison.

I could see Swagger Vs Show Vs Christian Vs MVP

I wouldn't hold my breath on Christian in SD's main event

    F4WOnline.com:

As seen last Friday on Smackdown, Dolph Ziggler attacked Christian from behind on the "Peep Show," which green-lighted a program between the two. The feud is being seen as a demotion for Christian, but a promotion for Ziggler. Furthermore, advertised house show line-ups have Christian teaming up with Hornswoggle to take on Ziggler and Chavo Guerrero.

    Poor Christian.

At least he's getting plenty of TV time and should get PPV appearances, but it's unlikely he'll ever get that main event push in WWE.

    Credit F4WOnline:

-- WWE isn't one hundred percent sure that Orton will be ready by the Fatal Four Way PPV so they're playing it by ear. If in the next few weeks it doesn't look like he's going to be ready they'll probably shoot and angle where someone takes him out and gets the fourth spot, perhaps Jericho or HHH. But they're hoping he'll be ready.

Even if he's not 100% it's much easier to keep him protected in a four way match than a one one one match.

He can be left on the outside for large portions of the match. Only being involved in a few preplanned spots and maybe the finish if necessary.

If MVP ends up in a world title match, I would be shocked.

The IC match could be quality, Drew,Kofi and two out of Cody, Dolph, Christian and even Masters who is pretty good these days could put on the sleeper of the night.

Based on last night's action at the Smackdown tapings in Cleveland, Jack Swagger will face The Undertaker, The Big Show and C.M Punk in a Fatal-4-Way match for the World Heavyweight Championship at the 6/20 PPV.

I'm not sure what's worse: Demoting Christian to a meaningless feud like that, or starting another Chavo/Hornswoggle feud!

I'd say it will be Swagger, Show, Punk, and Taker at Fatal4Way with Swagger retaining as he's suposed to begin a feud with Taker round Summerslam.

Well, that match is on SD this week

These concept PPV's are really starting to bore me, and interest is starting to go out the window. Hopefully it'll pick up. Raw has been good lately, but the idea that ppv's HAVE to have a gimmick match is boring, they should only be used when they fit into a fued, not to try and get a little bump in the buyrate for the sake of it

There was talk this weekend of holding a four-way match for the WWE Unified Tag Team Titles at WWE's Fatal 4 Way pay-per-view in June. If it happens, two of the teams would be the defending Hart Dynasty and The Miz & Chris Jericho.

If this happens when the hell is Miz V Bryan going to happen

would this not if anything make it more likely to happen as a lot more of the people who could have been filling up that card with matches will be lumped into just one instead?

dont know when Miz vs Bryan will happen but it will happen

According to the Sky Sports website, Fatal-4-Way will be on Sky Sports 2/HD2. Money in the Bank is also meant to be on it.

Rey Mysterio won a battle royal to determine Undertaker's WWE Fatal 4-Way replacement. Due to injuries, Taker will miss the match that he was originally scheduled to compete in at the upcoming PPV event.
So the World title match is set for Fatal 4-Way. It will be Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, Big Show and Jack Swagger in a four-way match for the title.

Could be a good match with a happy outcome. Unless they've gone mad, they won't have Rey win with the time off coming up, and IIRC Big Slow's knee is giving him a fair bit of bother. This could mean a good strong win for Punk or Swagger, and there's only one guy in the bout that bores me to tears.

This underlines how thin the tag-team division is. Unless WWE are cancelling one of their shows, they seriously need to bring the NXT rookies in and chuck a few of them in Tag-teams. Jericho-Barrett and Hardy-Gabriel seem natural choices.

I don't think this PPV was ever going to sell well. And since it's not, they should let Barrett into the main event.

To take Orton's place? I dunno I suspect that if RKO misses out they may throw in a face, Evan maybe? :o

Ideally they should hold off on the Wade and Cena match for a few months, make it a lumberjack match with all the NXT guys outside, Cena doing his Superman gimmick would be perfect for that match.

Works for me :D Especially if the NXT guys were outside; giving Barrett a 'legit' chance at actually winning the title. Bourne probably makes more sense; invading RAW 13 days before a PPV is probably bad timing (too close to have a PPV match), but they could just 'invade' the 4 way matches as well

Yep Cena overcoming those impossible odds does bring in the money. :pac:

Bourne should get RKO'S spot if Orton can't make it, I know as a draw Evan is unproven but Cena and Edge to a lesser level are proven money makers. They obviously feel that Sheamus can bring in some buys so one youngster in it isn't going to effect the buyrate that much.

I doubt its going to do much of a buyrate and judging by the lack of effort the E are putting into promoting it they probably agree. :pac::pac:

Although obviously if Orton is fit he should be in the match. :pac:

After losing his US Title on Raw, R-Truth invoked his rematch clause against The Miz and at The WWE Fatal Four Way PPV it will be The Miz (c) vs. R-Truth for the US Title.

Also added was a Fatal-4-Way match for the Diva's title between Eve, Alicia Fox, Maryse and Gail Kim

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

they didn't show up on last week's SmackDown so i'd reckon it'd just be an NXT invasion sometime during the show.

This is such a filler PPV. I am only aware of 4 matches that have been announced, 2 of which were announced on Raw, there was no Harts/Usos interaction on Raw so that match looks unlikely.

Hopefully the NXT angle is furthered at the PPV to make it worth watching.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

yeah, totally. It's gonna bomb on PPV. Who cares about any of the matches? The only thing with any interest in the NXT angle.....i dunno if anyone would order the PPV to see if they do something on it.

Seen it to often to care. They should have thrown in 2 out of Cody, Ziggler or Christian and you would have an awesome match. :(

Agreed. Might as well make it a fatal four way.

OK lads, Extreme Rules got 178,000 buys worldwide. How many buys will this Sunday's Fatal Four Way get? More or less than 178,000?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,820 ✭✭✭grames_bond

^ id say less if i am being honest! they havent built the undercard at all, and even the ME's are a bit iffy and slapped together. Pure curiosity over the NXT
    invasion
angle (spoilers just incase) may increase them a bit however so it will be interesting!

Around 150,000 would be around the mark so less. This PPV feel's so thrown together, it's unreal. 1 week before the PPV, only 2 matches were on the card. They added 3 matches in the space of 2-3 days and the card still looks weak imho. This will bomb in the States (imagine paying $50 for this). It's lucky for us because this is on Sky Sports HD2/2. If it was on Box Office, the buy rates from that would be very small.

They should've promoted the PPV like these guys have

    *bang*

Nah, I seriously feel their is a diehard 125 000 people who will buy WWE PPV's no matter what. :(

Its going to bomb badly, maybe 140 to 150 000 thousand?

Jaysus! ECW December to Dismember territory!! (94,000 i think)

If it was called ECW Fatal 4 Way i think we could really see something that low, but agreed with the lads that it'd have to be at least 140,000.

I'll go for 165,000, which is kind of impressive considering how badly this PPV is suffering. I hope I'm wrong and this PPV bombs - it'd teach WWE that they can't put out any old tripe and expect a buy rate.
