    Hi there,
I'm an ectormorph and over the last 3 or 4 years I've tried bodybuilding a few times but always failed. The most I've ever lasted was 4 or 5 weeks.

The food I think is what really throws me off as I just don't like food that much. I find it a pain to eat and often put it off or spend as little time eating as possible.

I've tried chicken and rice and all those things but got sick of them after a while and I just don't have a huge range to choose from given my limited liking of food. I don't like eating most things so research for recipes in books and on the net usually results in me not finding anything.

I thought I'd hit the jackpot when I discovered milk and used to drink about 2 litres a day but eventually I got pains in my stomach and had to stop.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism a few weeks ago and am now on medication and building my life up after suffering from depression and want to start again but I don't have any other way of apporaching it rather than the same as my failed attempts in the past.

    What should I do?

    Thanks.

What sort of things were you eating while training in the past? A rundown of your typical diet while training will help us give you advice. Also, a rundown of the type of training you were doing.

I don't have much appetite myself and as a long distance runner it can cause me problems so I know exactly where you're coming from.

The only thing you can do, if you want to see results, is get over it. Honestly. You won't get an answer that means you can look good and not have to eat.

Try to get some easy simple recipies... and if you can find a days worth of meals (maybe 4-6 small meals) that you like, stick to them. Your body will get used to eating more and more food, but it is tough to start off with.

This right here, is why you should not be asking people on the internet.
Thats a complicated medical issue coupled with a psychological issue.
From the little i know about thyroid issues the disliking of food is probably directly related to your hypothyroidism.

    I wish you the best.

Jeez....I really want to help you out here, but d'Oracle is correct. With the best will in the world, people on here may give you advice that ends up harming you so I'm obliged to lock this. I'd suggest talking to your GP about it.
